Default purple escort > ready for show season

ive been on here alot recently and not posted my car.

ive had this for nearly 12months and never driven it lol, bought it cheep with a little bit of frontal damage....

front bumper, wings head lights were scrap and the bonnet had a bit of damage so it all came off

bootlid was scrap due to the usual under spoiler rust so was scrapped and replaced with a 2nd hand one, which i smoothed the badge off.

weeks and months go on i just tat about getting little jobs done or more of the car stripped

i bought alot of stuff of a member of escortevolution.co.uk and had a trial fit

so on and so forth, pretty everything was been removed and either replaced for new or uprated. at this point the car was at my nans but i had gathered up alot of new parts so the car was taken home

got it back and started straight away
front end built up with new discs and pads on refurb calipers, gmax 60mm shocks and springs and everything cleaned up.

once again so on and so forth... (i'm trying to cut down 12months work into a little writing as possible)
trial fit of front end

as it stands now

there is a decent spec for this car which i shall post someother time. unfortunatle it a standard 1.8 at the moment but im slowly collecting parts for a zetec turbo build.

its going to be painted next week, pearl was out of my budget so i need to find a metallic to suit. i'm going for the cleaned look with the body being smooted in places and dropped over lenso bsx(bbs split reps).

What colour do you think?

Cheers

right any way havent updfated in ages, lots to come

had alot of help with a few things the last few months.

hangbrake had failed and the car had rolled into the front of the house, massive bodge but no major damage. wheels were sold.

christams eve 06 i stripped the fron to check the damage

wanted sumet different so had these at a good price thanks to a close friend

bought some new stuff and tral fitted

took the car from my nans small garage to my moms house.

every ford owner has this pic lol

brand new gmax shocks and springs, brand new discs and pads, everything painted and stonechipped.

brand new wings and front bumper, then found this...

a genuine rs acc rear bumper

then i bought a golf for me and the mrs

any way lol, bought a rear disc beam, which i totaly rebuilt and poly bushed

had these lying around from my ex's 3.5 fiesta lol couldnt resist

bought a set of mo's which i sold straight away

then a set of escos

then bought my babies thanks again to ben and mike

this is when we get to the paint problem, i went thru so many ideas for colour.
so now gaz and naylor are helping me, gaz is body work guru! helped loads, loads of grafted gone into it, some parts were took to be primed
