I think I need to practice my starts, it did have a full tank of fuel in but should have done way better than that.
Another poor excuse was I was cooking in it, was so hot out there.
Didn't help being having full blown man flu eva I wasn't and still aint feeling to good, but I give it a go and had a laugh.

Car did 250 mile round trip on Ł30 quid

Pov was due its MOT 23rd Dec. . . But decided to take it in this morning and get it out the way @ 11am. . .
8) It flew through and now has near 13 months MOT on it
Got a addvisory on a front flexie hose so have phoned up and ordered goodridge hoses all round for it for Ł32 quid from Rally Designs :mrgreen:

Not been running pov since mot. Still need to fit the brake hoses and its developed a intermittent missfire. . . so its had a service to start with including oil and filter, plugs and leads. . . And its still doing it. . . managed to borrow a coil pack off a mate ( cheers Martin ) fitted that. . . Made no difference but did notice a couple of dodgey looking wires that are going into the coil pack. Looks like the airfilter has been fouling the coil loom. . . So my next job was to replace the suspect loom and we'll see if that sorts it. All replaced and its still playing up. . . And as if I didn't have enough to do, the speedo stopped working too


So back on it today. . .
Speedo now working again. . . thanks to a replacement speed sensor

Over the last week the car has still been cutting out, refusing to start etc. . .
Tried a new crank sensor on it, coilpack and its still played up like f**k. . . Proper pis*ed me off, its taken a good beating over 2010 and been 100% reliable and now it wants to play up when the weathers poo!!!

While at the scrappy in the week for a replacement speed sensor, I also picked up a spare engine loom, a EDIS unit, a few clips etc.

Plan 1. . . So todays job was to replace the engine loom, didn't start off as good as hoped as the loom I'd got had a different plug on to connect to the ECU
Plan 2. . . take loom off engine and lay it out on the floor for inspection after a few minutes inspecting there it was. . . 1 wire hanging out of the crank sensor plug FFS!!!
Because the crank sensor wire is shielded I thought the quickest fix for now was to cut the crank sensor wire off my donor loom, so repair done and loom refitted to the car and BINGO POV's running sweet as a nut and pulling like a gooded once more

Borrowed a mates welder saturday so we could make the actuator bracket up for the Turbo'd Orion. . .

While in transport the gas bottle has spun round and dented the n/s rear 1/4 Now got a high spot in the 1/4 and even worse news is its split the paint. . .
Best get the rear arches put in asap and get the rear 1/4's painted
Gutted but sh*t happens, I even put the bottle out the way because I knew something like that would happen

Its due some TLC before this years shows, but still a respectable daily hack
Pair of rear arches and now a repair to the rear 1/4 due to a loose gas bottle in the boot No big issue tbh


Anyway, just emptied the camera from last year. . .

Spent a few hours tonight working on the O/S of POV. . .
Finally been treated to new rear brake shoes, new rear wheel bearings and also got round to fitting the Goodridge brake hoses
All done and bleed up, N/S to do tommorrow evening







Friday its in for 4 new tires and a week on Friday its in for a wheel refurb plus colour change to the wheels 8) :mrgreen:

N/S now all done. . . not been out on test drive but pedal seems firmer

Gotta order a wheel cylinder for the N/S rear tommorrow, its slightly weeping
