Thats engine is the bargain of the century!
didn't know ford supply the crate engines with 2wd heads and 4x4 cam covers

saw that engine on ebay - its a weird one as it has a YLB designation which I have never come across and seems to be a hybrid of some kind as its mainly 2wd but has an unusual block which has the old pinto fuel pump drive ( down by the pas pump mount) blank like the late 4x4 motorsport blocks.
I think you have yourself a very rare version of the cosworth engine there, possibly meant for a car that was never built. Its not a panther solo one as they did not have Ford on the cam cover

Is it on a 205, 200 or 202 block - it was hard to tell from the ebay pics, nice to have a rare engine for your build

the crate RS500 engines were the same, they came with the later screw on oil cap and solid vacuum lines
I would love to know what this engine was meant for, I know they did think of fitting them to granadas at one stage, but even cosworth dont list a YLB so its a mystery, all the Ford tags etc are on it so its the real deal

just did a google and here is some more info on the YLB, L stands for long engine apparently, ie no bolt ons
http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=71673
in bits that engines worth well over 4k, cosworth want £2200 just for a new bare head
