this is a compleat shame i loved this car when it was mine its go so much histery. i spent day and nights playing with it and all i have left of it is its back number plate, no dout it will be flying about again at some point

well just got bak from my holiday to find people still goin on about this car!!!!!!!!
the pics have gone as i have recieved an email from photobucket saying i have exceeed my limit this month so they will be bak on in a few weeks when the month rolls ova
when the floors were cut out of this it had no floor pans at all & at 1 point had no inner sills as they were rotten! this is where it all went pete tong!
the shell nipped upo in the middle & it wasnt realised untill all the floor pans were put in & tunnel etc..... when doors were refitted the stuck out from half way along the bottom, running out more as they went back untill there was 1 1" gap at the back corner (both sides)
at 1st i thought this was just cos the door hadnt a rubber & when push out level it would be ok??? but it wasnt & thought maybe it was the pattern part pannels being a shit fit & maybe had pulled the sills/arch in????
by this time i was goin offshore in a weeks time for 2 moths & the car was goin 4 paint so i nipped the doors up (cut/welded) & thought the problem was resolved
the car came back from paint & all seemed good & the build continued, i was nearly 10k & 2 yrs into this car & decided 2 sell it so it was posted 4sale
when i fitted the car up a few weeks later the inner doors hit the seat bolsters! (THE SHELL HAD NIPPED UP IN THE MIDDLE)
i wishdrew the car from sale & was goin 2 break it but decided i couldent pull it appart as it "looked so pretty" i offerd this bloke a deal & done the deal
i was offshore & after many emails & phone calls to the bloke we decided to swap, i gpt home after 2 months & drove 9 hrs on my own 2 dundee in a recovery truck with the mk3, i got there at 10pm! it was dark & i was tired, i hadnt drove 9hrs just to look at the car had i!
me & a few boys from up north loaded off the mk3 & the escort cossie was started, looked around & put onto the truck. as it looked ok & after 2 months of emails/calls i didnt think the seller wasnt genuine

i spoke 2 the boy i got it off & he was men t2 post me all trims he had in his shed & sort sumthin out about the turbo & ide swallow the sills, this was untill he got home from work & no doubt all his mates influenced him 2 "jog me on" & he turned his phone off
he knew the car was bent all along & wanted it as he swa what every1 else sees, a nice shiney cool mk3 escort that doesnt look bent.

im not that botherd about the deal as all good things come 2 those who wait & i have sold the cossie 2 my brother & have rebuilt the engine & its having the sills done very soon & itll be a nice motor.
i wouldnt trust this seller as far as i could throw his but thats up to u guys.
its a shame as its a nice motor & does looks the bollox but im goin 2 build another 1 useing more braceing & a whole sierra floors & innerwings.

oops,i was very impressed with the way you did the conversion but i can see how it ended up like it did.i think folk are assuming it was bent before you did all the work,but the doors arent exactly the 1st thing you put on when doing something like this so i can see how it went so far before you realised it had shrunk in the middle.it does look a nice car and im sure it wont affect how the car drives,but i wouldnt like to try and fit a s2 kit to it!sounds like it was a fair deal,an unfinished mk3 with 'issues' for an escos with 'issues'.

had a little play with the doors there this afternoon as its the 1st time ive touched the car and after a little messing bout sorted the gaps out a bit etc, maybe not 100% but they will be in the end and to be honest the wings have not been put on correct looks like they have been fitted without hanging the doors and ligning them up so may be a case of redoing them ill soon see.
and as for rosie saying i knew it was bent etc cmon u really think id swap for a bent car no matter how rotten my escos was or how many gay and shiny bling bits on the mk3 wouldnt have swapped it for a bent car and im sure none of my mates who where there that nite too would have took it as they're all ford daft and know what there talking about they would have sent you packin back home with your bent car, and fair enough u may have sent the v5 off as scrapped but i sent my v5 off for it and recieved a log book!
and all the other comments and bitching ive not really got time to reply to them all but at the end of the day the car doesnt look bent cant see where it's bent then is it bent didnt think so,
the cars in the middle of getting wired up and then away to get brakes hooked up then up to get a 4 wheel alignment done with a printout and ill even post that too when its done.

and if they are welded as you say what does that achieve?
the doors are ligned up at fitted up with the qtr panel so why would welding the door or watever help this i spent bout 10 minutes on each door and had them closing sweet and gaps decent so im not really believing the guys skills on setting a door

as you actually need to put a distruction notice on a car for it to be send away as scrap

the pic with red door is nothing go by its a shit pic and you carnt see the bottom the door or the gap ,lines dont line up ,as for white door above the gap is different at the bottom to the top .but as long the doors shut and it drives straight who cares

basically ive done what everyone says and put pics of the doors up and also done what rosie says and put another door on it to see that it was bent so i done tht and it fitted fine only thing bent is his eyes,
if it still bothers people tht much about it and still believe its bent there welcome to come up and have a look there self so they can sleep at nite

i had 4 doors & they all fitted the same so i know this aint a genuine pic
u have 2 remove door cards 2 wire up e/w & fit c/l so take a pic of inside rear of doors then. they will look mint from outside as they were ground down & skimmed with filler when painted!
funny how mo pics of inside the doors
& no pics from down side or car to show it sticking out 1/2-1 inch from quarter & no decent pics

gaps where fine are u joking me they were an absaloute mess i could got a baseball bat in the top of the wing gap where it meets the door and not even a fag paper at the bottom im gonna have to go and cut theses wings off now and do them all again and throw away the doors as you've fucked about with them and do it all again, the wings have just been threw in with no thought of hanging doors etc

well rosie just measured the car there from sill to sill and measured another 2 escorts and all 3 are the same at 1330mm rubber to rubber on the sills if anyone who is in the area and still believes the cars bent there welcome to come up with there car and we'll measure and compare!
