just a small update of some bits ive sorted (no pics tho as i forgot )
after having my duflex poly bushes sitting in me garge for over 8 months still in their wrappers :blub: , i decied that id pull my finger out & get em fitted,,,
so a couple of weeks ago (i know i forgot to update it back then,,lol) i fitted the front strut top mounts which are a fiddly fooker to fit but not too bad, rear spring bushes, then last weekend i fitted the rear anti roll bar mounts along with the panhard rod bushes,
got very confused with the rear swing arm bushes as i was sure they'd sent me the wrong ones, but then read some 1 elses post on here about having to remove the metal sleeve the old mounts ae inside,,,so i will fit those 2moro as there the only 1's left to do now
2day tho i fitted the rest of the front bushes which were the tie bar bushes & lower arm bushes, along with a new set of lower ball joints for good measure
had a mare with the ball joints as 1 would not go in fully & as i hadnt check'd it it was touching the disc when i went to go for a test drive ,
so jacked the car back up & used the trolly jack & a piece of wood to push the ball joints into the hub fully,,, went to tighten the nut back up & the fooker snapped on me
so out came the odd's & sod's box to find a replacement till i go to fords in the week & all is sorted
no more grinding & the car is as stiff as a board now & feels awesome,, i would recomend poly bushes to any 1
the old bushes i removed especially the tie bar bushes were fooked & soft as sponge    ,,,,
but thats not a problem with the ne 1's.
also for a while now ive had a realy bad knocking coming from the bottom end which i havent got round to sorting but today i noticed the alternator belt was a tad slack so i tightened that & then noticed the bolts holding the alt to the bracket were all loose so i tightened them up too & now the noise has stopped
so is been & eventfull weekend for the old turbo
more updates soon
& pics of the new t34 for the soon to be new set up

the gearbox is dead
After spending the weekend laying under the car fitting the poly bushes that ive had laying aroung for mnths,, ,, & fitting the new ball joints i took the car for a blat around to chris fosters & to the high street, then i gave it full beans off a round about on to a dual carriage way & bang went the gearbox
lasted year & a half & cost me Ł20 to have a series 1 lsd put in the standard xr2 box so i cant complain
so its now laid up in the garage with a dead gearbox & a leaking rad
NOW THE SERIOUS SPEC BEGINS!
i now have all my parts i was told to gather for my cossie management along with my T34 etc,,,
now ive found the engine im after for the car & will be in negotiations with the owner later this week so fingers crossed if i can put a deposit down & he can hang on to it for a bit longer then i shall post the spec up soon,,,,along with the gearbox that il be getting at the same time
then the car will be heading off to pro alloy for the rad & intercooler to be made so i have enough room for the t34 as im a bit tight for space on the set up im using now,,,,
then its management time & off to see gadget,,,, but 1st things 1st
so its getting serious now & the car will no longer be on the road till the new spec is sorted so watch this space for updates on the new spec
(i can hear my wallet crying already )

SLOW PROGRESS
but starting to get very expensive now as the spec gets more serious every day
rich p xr2t - the inlet manifold is a custom made job by a friend, il post pics & spec as soon as the finished article is ready in a few weeks
but in the meantime here is my new turbo
spec as follows -
GROUP A T34, CUT BACK BLADES, 360 deg BEARINGS, .63 ZORST HOUSING, 247 MARAM SHAFT etc,, all enabling me to run agressive anti lag long with the inlet spec im having & proper specced zorst valves for the head to cope with the excessive heat etc,, enjoy
shaft is stamped with the 247 maram code but forgot the pic
still fitted with a trumpet for air flow restriction i believe as the neck is very narrow (correct me if wrong)
also started stripping the interior to refit flocked dash etc inspect floorpans
but all looks good so far
