ben - il get some details for you as for price 2 uncut pieces for my rear 1/4 wndows was £60, bit dear i thought but alot beeter than the cheaper stuff i 1st used


today me & pat planned to underseal the car,,,,proper style with spray gun & 5 cans on tetrosyle (sp) shootz
well it looked like it was gonna piss down halfway through masking it all up but it didnt thank god

so heres the car up on the stands before we started







few pics of the car & suspension masked up took fooking ages








a few action snaps of pat doing the undersealing






5 & half hours after starting here is the results,,,,

(left the tape on the front rake lines ect for now as the arches were still a bit wet)











gotta clip all the rear lines ect back up once its dryed under there a bit more but all in all im very happy with it

again massive thanks to pat for doing the messy part of the job

now its ready under there for a full hayward & scott exhaust system on the 26th

 

cheers cant wait til my rs is as far along as this is, if it looks half as good i'll be over the moon

if the new pully solves the misfire tommorow (fingers crossed ) the engine should be fully mapped through to 7400rpm with a graph ect of the exact figures & power curve

so more on that tommorow maybe

fook me just read through this thread from start to finish and my word you have put some work into this car and its mint

really does show what you can do if you set your mind to it and have the deemination to succeed loving it hope to see it at a few shows this year

misfire still not solved,,,

made more power today after more mapping tho
but still has the misfire

made 327bhp & 409 lb/ft torque

just gotta leave him to it till he finds out what the cause is & fixes it

gonna check the cam,,valve springs ect next i think

he just cant understand it being mechanical as the power is aweome & he said the power curve is perfect all the way through with no spikes ect

this shit always happens to my fooking things

 

it got more power what boost is it running?
i am sure he fix the problem but i know how you feel

sorry dude,,,,, gonna have to wait even longer now

spoke to tommy today as i went down there today to collect my engine loom to have a measure up ect,

& his dyno is broken now
he put another engine on it yesterday & it did pretty much the same as mine as in it hit a sort of rev limit then wouldnt go past it

then the shaft snapped on the dyno he said

so he thinks my engine is fine & it is the dyno that was causing the probs,,,he did explain the cause a bit better than that lol, but you get the idea

so he's waiting for a new shaft from usa then mine will go back on but its gonna be a week or 2
so gonna have to dummy fit the engine & box so the car can go and have the exhaust made then take it out to give it back to tommy to dyno again & see if all is ok,,,fingers crossed

so no engine updates for a while

the car has superseeded how powerfull i intended it to be but its a good thing ay
i never meant for it to go this far in any aspect of how its turned out,,, you just get carried away sometimes you know
