Default a wee update

just thot i would post a few pics, havent been able too do nothing for the past 3 weeks as was in a wee accident and ive torn all the tendons and nerves in my shoulder

im well pissed off,was hoping to hav atleast had her in for a pre mot by now,i trial fitted the kit back on the night b4 the accident and this is the way she still stands today 3 wks ltr.atleast i got the wheels i wanted, retro cool rs 7 spokes in 13 inch, cant wait till they r refurbed and on as i will be able to get it sitting the way i want, also ive decided to colour code it and stick with the red but not the original rosso red,im looking for a nice mettalic red as close as poss to the original colour if anyone has any thots or suggestions

well had a few hours spare today so decided to go out and do a bit of work too the foosty, so decided to crack on with blending in the back arches as ive been putting it off for long enough now that i didnt have much option
got a good bit done tho,a lot more that i expected
got the n/s totally finished and the o/s is half done, about time i got the finger out really but my fucked shoulder hasn't helped, but ive been inspired now so time too crack on

this is the 7 spokes she will be sitting in the weeds on
i know she aint ever going to be a concours show winner but i know that she is solid and i wont be scared too throw it into a corner now, just cant wait to get her mot'd and on the road..... think i will just leave it in primer,im thinking about turning her into a sleeper.... what do you think?????

rs 7 spokes, they were an option on the mk1 and 2 xr2's but not a lot of people went for them, dont no why as they look better than the pepperpots and r the original 13 inch,

nearly 2 months ltr i got my finger out 2day and started putting bits back on instead of pulling her apart.....lol
got the wiper motor and linkage swapped over from that single wiper shite that was on her when i saved her....by the way cheers HARVCORE, wheres my arms?......lol
now it has a cooling system that holds water, and an exhaust that doesnt leak anymore (first time in 2 yrs ) pulled out all the old alarms, immobillisers and shit and re wired all the front end,i.e lights, fan, temp switch, starter and altenator as it was just a shambles, now she starts and switches off the way she should
(if it was started b4 with the lights on you could turn off the ignition and take the keys out and would still run till you turned the lights off)
now i need to get my 13,s painted and on and the dash,2 front seats in and front seatbelts working properly, mirrors on, and shes going in for a pre mot, just in time for me getting paid.................

oh well we shall see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

right got my finger out today and done the last of the welding and put 10 litres of waxoyl all over the full car, underneath, inner wings, bulkhead inside and out, inside the doors, quaters etc etc, painted all the boot floor red, fitted a new hand brake cable and now all ive got too do is seatbelts, headlight aim,cv boot and the heads comin off next weekend to get the stem seals done and then shes goin for a mot.

ive heard its possible to do the stem seals without taking the head off,has anyone done this and is it easy enough to do???
