pmsl jay , say it like you mean it , but just after you get bk off the moral high horse ,
i was close mates with jacko , but we had differing opinions on some things and parted ways ,
im not going to go into specific details but far to say we still speak and are civil to each other when we see each other , just dont swim in the same pond anymore ,

in fairness to dave , he had a good rep when he started out small and concentrated on single jobs , it got to big to fast imo and he got overwhelmed trying to manage a business and do all the paint and prep himself -
ive said before and i still stand buy it , this car should of been done ages ago and dougs too laid bk for his own good ,
i hope the car get sorted soon and is up to dougs standards and hes happy with the outcome after all the wait ,

as far as i know the fab work is now all done apart from the boot floor, so its just a small mater of putting on some paint fpmsl
I dont think its going to be much longer tbh, well i bloody hope not lol... I really REALLY want to put it back together now

yeh you did pmsl and spot on it is all most 38mm ect not fia approved and the turn around would of been no longer than 6 weeks with paint all done !! thing is Dougy is a good mate so im more concerned about the piss take in time taken , but if he wasnt a mate id take the piss to like you pair

it looked like it had some 38 in but my mistake, but still for people on site like this who want cages for there own track and road cars, i think a grand is better than 3 grand, i didnt want all my little crossbraces etc done in any bigger than 38 to save weight, everything that needs to be bigger is

Jackos a good lad too really and i did say from the off it would be a long term project, i know it should of been done by now but it dose look like we are on the home straight now at last, I know its been said a million times by now but yes i am a soft touch in situations like this but at the end of the day it is only a car!! its when someone mess's with my friends or family i tend to come out of my shell so to speak lol

never mind im loosing the will to live now right chap IF cds seemless is used which is how msa blook book want it built (the reason i keep mentioning this mate is if you ever put the shell you cage up for sale it will automaticly be eligible to run in clubmanm race classes then will make more money rather than just scrap value)
anyways cds 38mm the wall thickness is 2.8mm
46mm is 2.2mm
52mm is 2mm
now because the wall thickness is thinner you are effectively are not putting any more weight in "well maybe few grams extra " but essentially because the span of the tube is bigger it will gain more strength
