I hate the word when it is used on the internet or in real life but I would forgive anyone for typing out "epic" in reply to those pic's.

Credit to you and K, well done.

thanks for all the warm comments folks ,

nice to see warren still gracing us meer mortals with his presence lol

anyway , got to give a big thanks to gary richardson , aka escosgaz ,

came down today to view the car with regards to painting the outside , got the feeling he likes the project , so it looks like its going up to him for the panels and exterior to be done ,

spesh will be prepping and painting the kit n bumpers ,

anyway

cars now looking like this ,

bay all wrapped up

attention will be turned to this

little bit of sanding to do , and then a coat of primer and a lick of paint

ohh and the kits made its way to karls ,

on inspection the majority of it is good enough ,

not 100% happy with the spoiler , has alot of cracks , dont think theres any easy way to properly repair it ,

and the front arches have been trimmed back

so im on the look out for a vgc or mint s1 spoiler and a pair or front arches ,

so if you can help , let me know

ohh and these arrived

the full kit , and any interior and engine bay fixings will be riv-nutted and a proper stainless fixing used ,

cannot stand the course threaded fixings ford used they pull and fuck the holes - eventually pulling loose

beef

Looking good Beef.I can see this car been closed to being finished just in time for central day.I think you should take it on a trailer so people can have a good look at the work You and Karl have put into it.

thats the plan glenn ,

but when u say finished , i hope u mean paintwise lol ,

certainly wont be complete !!!!

saying that , me and the missus just put a application in on a new house , so once it leaves karls it may go on the back burner for a cpl months ,

tbh my prioritys are in making sure anne maries happy and we have a warm comfortable secure house for the upcoming baby ,

Beef - I'll speak to my mate, he's got a brand new mk3 tailgate, and i'm sure he's got a mint spoiler.

Also, he's thinking of breaking his car soon ( series 2 with CliffS1's zetec turbo engine in it ) he's got a mint 90 spec interior half leather trimmed by rolls royce, all the metal work on the rear of the back seats and all the runners etc has been powder coated black!!

looks great beefy, you and especially karl have done a fantastic job on that

Do you think its a good idea though for one person the paint the panels and another to paint the kit? i know the paint code and mix is the same but surely it would be better done by same person and same paint at the same time as you have that option.

tbh marc i wouldnt see it as being an issue , karls more than compotent to paint the kit , and im supplying gary with the exact paint we used on the shell ,

but as with everything only time will tell ,

think as long as the primer colour is the same we should be fine ,

spoke to mark @ mk today , hubs are sorted and seeing as ive dropped from 5/8 x 3/4 to 5/8 x 5/8 on my rosejoints hes going to machine up the nessacary spacers and inserts for me this upcoming week

also , popping over to see rob aka robrs2 off here tonight to collect my 5 stud front hubs and 5 stud rear flanges

so weekend off , all systems go monday !
