But perhaps if you had read it first you wouldn't make wrong statements like this

Doesn't really matter where you learn things chap, just that you've learnt them and they are correct.

If you want to quote something text book go ahead, i won't call you out, and make you sound a bell end afterwards either.

Rob,
I admit i totally wrote that wrong about the bump steer so hands up but calm down chap, i wasn't attempting to make you sound a bell end,
obviously the book and wiki quotes were copied alike 1 from the other

Apologies if you think i was trying to make you look like a bell, i know pretty much nothing about suspension so would definitely not be trying to out smart anyone with my knowledge lol

No harm done then, good of you to point out you didn't intend it as an insult.

Beef: Tbh I think you should see how it drives and decide if things need changing later buddy, much simpler than wading through the last 2 pages of opinion, all said and done yours is the only one that counts.

hi mate nice one ,the things that need moving are not ,ie steering arms ,pivot point for uprights were tcas bolt ,dont move the rack on its own that will create even more bump steer ,if your making a front cross member see if you can lift the whole assembly so you restore tca angle from lowering car ,but i think you have heard enough now lol ,just build it and enjoy like you say its not a race car ,at the end of the day it will look very good

mark

if it's only going to be a road car then why didn't you just go out and buy a micra and polish it once a week

wait till its built then get a professional to set up what you have and work from there.

all this complex suspension talk is all very well, and if it were race or track car is essential to achieve the optimum handling.

however beefy has said this is a fun road car toy. It doesnt need to meet its maximum handling potential. It needs to be safe and handle well enough to be a rewarding B road blaster. I suspect unless hes made some massive critical errors, that a good set up and the adjustability he has will enable him to achieve that.

Crack on beefy. As we talked about a long time ago. Get the wheels on then go from there. Unless you can find some suspension software it's just guess work.
So see how it goes.

what i don't get is that the cars still in the building stage and yet everyone has decided that it's not going to handle

if the suspension has been built with maximum adjustability then shouldn't that be enough to get it working correctly?

Not that im getting involved with telling beefy how or what he should do.... but for me there are some handling quirks that i think would annoy me more on the road than track, ie, loads of bump steer is a cunt on the road.

But yea, get it done then sort the problems out once you know what they actually are rather than guessing sound like a good plan....

Can't wait for the next batch of photos
