ETT stands for Extended Tip Technology. I'll leave you to search Google to find out what turbo's they are.

Ive had one for about a year, they make the Turbos used in the UK look totally outdated. Mark is well versed in them & was being updated on their tests against the Garratt range, it would have been on mine in 2008 but a suitable fitment for the YB was not available at the time. To coin a phrase used on here once, its the future of Cosworth tuning .

ps. If they dont work on a YB (mine will still probably be the first to try it) then all i have said above is total Shite !!!!!! .

Visited the car today on its return from paint, cant believe it looks so good, no more stickers or stripes & all battle scars gone. The bumper has been transformed if only Pete had e-mailed the pictures taken today as he said he would . I left the sprayer to detail the bonnet/bumper i thought i might not like it as his suggestions sounded naff, but hes the expert & it looks just right. Grills on both parts highlighted in Satin Black & with the aero-locks in Black its just right & sets it off .
Now too nice to race, its going on the show circuit & im forgetting all this Topspeed nonsense .
Its going back together next week, but i think it will take longer as Petes a finacky old bugger (ask James).
Not really interested in a finish date now, today i saw that all the development/waiting was worth it .

From the test's I've seen it all seems in favour of the BW's apart from the S256(?) against a GT30, saying that they didn't go over 2Bar

I think he is saying the ETT technology make it 15% more efficient than anything Garratt produce, nothing to do with Power they will both do that but the new Technology will spool it up much quicker.
I dont want more Power but spooling up 300/400rpm earlier would be nice .

Is there any actual data/specs on these ETT yet?

What i was thinking is if the gtx42 comp. has 97lb/min in it then with you not needing all that you could..... buy some spool efficiency with not having to drive it at full tilt? Maybe just a turbine wheel/housing change?? Surly garrett have combination to suite?

More info required please.

Alg1k has opened the floodgates on this we had hoped to get these Turbos tested without all the questions .
You are missing the point, the Garratt have less efficient blades its nothing to do with combinations. It will always outspool a BB Garratt even though journal bearings are used. The BB core tries to hide the Garratts rather out of date Wheel Technology. Im happy for everone else to plug on with the Garratt lads I really am .

Oh right, i thought the gtxr's were Garretts version of BW's ETT. The spiel on t'interweb is that they flow more, spool quicker and are all in more efficient.
I'll wait for test results...... although are you going to entertain a Garrett "equivilent"?

Looking good Rod
Do these new turbo's use billet wheels, i know a few of the American Porsche tuners have started to use them with brilliant results.

They are Garretts new billet wheel (not ETT) i believe at the mo only available in one size & priced over 3k, they were only introduced at Sema so im sure not yet tested in the real world. BW are also about to introduce a new billet series to out do these but much cheaper. Like everything, the world is moving on & will continue to do so, maybe you are the person to try this new billet range on a YB, ive done my part pushing boundaries why not push things on .
Remember some on here still use a T4 & think its acceptable, Noah had one of them on the ark .
