Have they forced you to stay at the clinic for grindaholics for ever??

 

i have not touched it since i painted the interior but i have been buying bits & pieces , i bought a 3"to 2x2.5" t peace for the twin side exit exhaust 1x3"v band ,2x2.5"v bands ,16 group A wheel nuts ,a new light weight fly wheel & twin plate A P clutch cover .But it is looking like i will have to make my own silencers as i can not find any to fit in the space i have .

OH i nearly forgot the grinder is coming out of retirement as well
but you will have to wait & see what is getting the chop

i will get some pics up later in the week .

update time again i been cutting bits off again so i can get my exhaust out the side of the car ,because with making a very long multi link rear end it has been a pain trying to get the pipes past the link arms so i ended up cutting two channels through the chassis legs to get past the link arms .









i will weld some 3mm plate in tomorrow .

everything still up as talked about, just waiting for my guy to come and u will get a delivery its looking like 2 to 4 weeks from now

 

Hi Michael every thing is sort of ok but it will be a bit of a delay its looking like he can not do it until beginning of march so its only a bit longer but it will be worth the wait .you could still bring the bits over early if its better for you though .

 

got the cut outs all welded up today








all fully welded with out burning the paint on the interior of the car

 

now stop cutting and start building it back up

i could of done with going up another 10mm but not at the price of burning the paint work .

 

i finished the prop shaft today i moved the joint off the prop shaft & onto the spider on the gear box .


i put the cradle back on to see how much room i got left for the exhaust its going to be tight ,




i then started on the exhaust pipe keeping it as tight to the gearbox as practical




im waiting for some v bands i bought to be modified so i can continue ,should be ready to pick up tomorrow.

Looks great Andy. You got room to put small silencer on the straight bit by gearbox ? Just thought it might help to silence some before you get to the small silencers before they exit

 

Thanks Col i have not got the room to put one besides the gear box but i am putting a large cylinder style silencer under the prop shaft .

 

Coming along well Andy, I expected it wouldn't be long till the grinder came back out

As for side exits, mine comes out in the drivers sill, it runs through the wheel arch first though so only one silencer, good flames though by the looks of it

 

Quality mucka !

Think side exits are the future, planned the same idea for mine as the rear end don't leave alot of room , where u get the v bands mate ????

hi andy glad you still plugging away on the beast , just a quick one mate are the v band fittings flat faced or are they male/female ?
if they are flat faced you are going to have trouble with blowing , the reason i ask is because you said cheap , get them from chris tullet
