the kevlar is so even in a heavy impact to the mount itself, carbon alone would crack up into pieces eventually where as the kevlar would hold it together (albeit smashed up) so the extinguisher should not come loose in theory.

I did something similar to ritchie when i sent him some sportka badges a year back, although i think i went on base to borrow some "top secret" stamps etc and double bagged it all
can you chuck it on the scales?? forgot to do it after id put the rubber strips on so not sure of final wieght compared to original.

finally got into the garage to do a bit more on the car so i started by cutting up the rear struts i made a while back
so i can get more room to get bigger wheels & it also straightens up the struts
i also made up the brackets to fit the wrc spec bladed anti roll bar
Richie came round this afternoon to have a look at the car he also brought one of his 10x18 mo,s to trial fit with 265 /35/18 888,swhich measure 280mm .
They fitted alright with 3" clearance on inside of wheel so i should be able to get the 12" rims i want to fit.
he has also convinced me to do a full trial fit of running gear ,so painting it is on hold for a bit longer
