ive got to get a 245/40/18 tyre so i can get the arch cut out in the right place as the one i cut out already is about 120mm to low so i got to get car down on floor at ride height then mark where the tyre comes upto so i get an even space all the way around as in the zakspeed pic .
then ive got to modify the rear cradle so i can have a choice of how wide the track is on the rear as i got to widen it now to fill the new arches with"my tiny 9x17"wheels then i can put it back as is when i get my new wheels

ps yes im on my third tonight

to be honest i do not know what the width is of the original zakspeed,s but i must be close to it & your bang on the money with the 8" bit it is 8"s at the top of the arch

im not sure if its classed as 2x2 as it is not like the( show) carbon ,on one side the carbon is going from 10 o clock to 4 then on the other side there is another layer going from8 o clock to 2 then it is machine sewn down the length of the roll every 5 to 6mm ,i hope that makes sense .but carbon is carbon after all & the best bit ,its cheap & it was always going to get painted any way

mk2 looks stunning altough it sat a little too high for me i would of dropped a wheel size so i could get a bit more room round the arvhes (only my opinion)
was the first time id saw the mk1 is that a zackspeed kit?

i agree with you about the mk2 the wheels are to big & the arches are to low
as for the mk1 the front looks like a zakseed group 2 front wings & whats left of the front spoiler ,as for the back i think it came off carlos fandango,s anglia or a cut dowm oil drum

this is what the front link mount is going to look like i was not happy with the look of the first one
Name: 08062010143.jpg

and this is what the rear link bracket will look like (cheers markk) i took your advice & design .it will now be tied into the diff using the bottom 2 bolts.

the link arm brackets always looked like an after thaught & didnt look right doing it this way it will look 10x better its a learning curve for me as i have never made suspension before , it will work a lot better than the standard cossy stuff as it is infinutely adjustable & will not change geometry setting during the full travel of the suspension unlike cossy rear beams

Did wonder why you went to all that effort and didn't bolt it directly to the diff as well,

markk's set up is also one Andrew made up for him and he knows his stuff

Could you use the standard type cossie rear shocks with this set up?
or would it just be a matter of fabbing up different mounts?
would the standard type shocks be man enough do you think?

with this set up you need a strut rather than a shock absorber as it is the strut that holds the hub in the correct position
like this

camber adjustment another idea i pinched off markk

3dr cossy front strut converted to rear strut for this set up
