the aim is to get it on the road in time for national day .

 

im going to be making them the old fashioned wet lay up for now ,but i might have a bash at infusion at a later date . as i have plenty of carbon fiber to play with .

been busy to night nearly got the floor finished













i have also cut some more holes in the inner sills which will be flared too.
just got to make new kick panels to finish it all off .

 

every one seems to be nocking out great fab work these days i need get me grinder and welder out

Yes not much left until i can seal up underneath and get some stone guard on then its ready for primer,i still got to make some chassis mount engine mounts and fit my pedal box before i can paint it with top coat though.

 

The tunnel looks neat andy ,good idea while your there to make a tunnel for the exhaust allways get ground clearance problems with the escorts..great fab work

 

if i have worked it out right then i have enough room down the side of the gear box on the n/s to get a good size silencer & the prop is high enough in the tunnel i should be able to run the exhaust pipe under the prop with out it being below the floor

 

Looks really nice mate. Makes me want to go and cut out my floor lol

i fitted the rear cradle & prop to try & work out where the prop support goes but it might be easier to roll the car over& do it ,what you up to tomorrow night .

done a bit more to night cut out the hand brake mount hole out


then i rolled the car over so i can fully weld all the new floor & tunnel also got to make a new gear box x member 7 mount the centre prop support .

actually richie loves the men bit ,you can just about read the bit below is my favourite (beer & grinding )is my true love

 

nice looks like the under side of a F1 car flat as a pancake

 

thats the idea ian i got to trim the floor back but leave tags down both sides so i can put rivnuts in & bolt a closing panel on making it totally flat tying into the front spoiler/sump guard ,then leading into the rear diffuser.it will also have a lip going down the running boards so i can fix a rubber strip hope fully giving some sort of ground effect .
