anybody got a picture of a mk3 5 door from the side? i want to look at the shut lines for comparison. hadrian panels where a right ball ache to fit pref a close up of the shut lines, also the wing to bonnet shut lines plz

hello. Can anybody tell silly me how to remove side wings? they are welded, but as i see you need to remove front bumper/headlights and side doors to drill trough all the welding points. Is there any easier way or i am doing it right? But so much holes in wing looks terrifying to me.

 

Really miss this car, sold it stupidly when my head was a mess 😓

 

managed to get it back! Picked it up today. Missing lots of parts but still happy just to get it back

 

I actually still have mine, it’s been sat in the garage for 10 years being used to store bits for other cars

It's been used for a parts car sadly like many 5 doors. Will get it sorted Tho. Already ordered a sunroof. Which was yours again matey? 2008 when I started this thread

 

I bought mine in 2009 I think, I think it might be time to move it on tbh. I can’t see me ever going back to finish it off at the moment

 

I'm looking at fitting an st170 engine in mine but the wiring scares me

 

 

Started Stripping all the seat covers off and washing them. A 70 degree wash seems to be the way to go to get them as clean as possible

 

Will be fitting 1.8 zetec silvertop and 5 speed box from a Mk5 escort until I can source a 2 litre zetec. Picked this one up for Ł100 on Facebook

 

 

Took the front panel down to bare metal and treated any areas that had surface rust. Coated in high build primer. Still needs dressing in a good few areas

 

Genuine wing lined up pretty decent to the pattern front panel

 

Wing is just clamped on
