Be very very careful and make sure the tyres are well upto temp before booting it
I managed a 360 spin on cold tyres and took the nose cone out on the kerb on a dry straight road
What tyres are you running by the way?

Avon CR500's on rear. 245 wide.
Was told these are the best for these cars? not sure myself as have only very limited experience on them.

They seem to get very mixed reviews. Personally i'll be getting some used slicks!
15 inch wheels kinda kills that though

I was running AVON ACB 10 super soft compound 245 x 13 on the rear's when I spun it
There are a race tyre and supposed to be very good but I found them very twitchy as they are crossply
I since moved to Kuhmo V70 235 and I'm very happy with the results
I went for the super soft compond in these and the difference in handling on the road is huge.
Never tried the AVON CR500's but they come as standard on the Caterhams so I suppose they are a good all round tyre for the road
Are you running 13" or 15" wheels?
I'd seriously get some big soft slicks if your taking it on track, it will make a world of differrence.

Just spike Martin's drinks so he is absolutely hammered and miss-keys when mapping - will make sure that Stu's is more powerful for an even shorter time

Yeah its a bit daft really to think that your renault 5 is 50% heavier than this roughly, really puts it into perspective how light these coffins on wheels are!

When Lee first got the westy I told him to fit a GT3071 to it and nitrous it.
So he's halfway through those instructions now
Lee, ive got a spare nitrous kit in the garage with your name on it, just let me know when you want it fitted
Just look at the difference a 100bhp shot makes on the gobstopper:
50bhp on yours would be similarly nuts

2wd, will already have traction issues and your advising nitrous
Will be spot on for when he fits the drag radials and trys to wheelie it for the first 60ft at the pod, otherwise its kind of pointless imo
Superb car though, such a stunning build and I am sure it will perform very very well as it is.
As a comparison I'd like to see it up against a R500 or something similar just to see how the Atmo/Turbo setups compare.

R500 Caterhams are VERY fast Cars and very well developed out of the box.
Probably not much in it to 100mph but after that my extra 200bhp+ will start to tell
Can't wait to meet a few on track. Caterham owners are usually utter utter cunts when it comes to westfields! They get really snobbish and superior!

That was certainly clear on the Top Gear lap, obviously certain tracks will suit either car better I guess.
Either way I look forward to seeing it go !

Congratulations Porkie and Stu, those power to weight ratios are getting a bit too close for comfort!!! I needed another couple or hundred bhp/ton to make up for my lack of driving ability!!
