1) You get an ECU such as Motec/Pectel/AEM etc. that gives out either a CAN or an RS232 datastream and then you can use the standard Strada loom to connect up the ECU and interrogate the datastream.
2) You buy the loom from the AIM Pista (next one up) and you can plug individual sensors into the loom for oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, speed etc. etc. Can get expensive if you want LOTs of data

OK, an update. So Brum the Yellow Westy suffered a total and absolute beating during the first couple of months of its Evolution 2. Think it was doing 2 HARD track days a week and also not given much rest when on the road either.
So, its time for some updates to improve further and the fitment of some more go faster, go lighter, handle better parts.
I think this is about Evo 37 now and the list consists of:
1. New wider rear indepentdant rear arms giving about 5/6 more track
2. Rear Anti Roll Bar (to match the front which transformed the handling)
3. New bigger better fuel tank from Pro Alloy
4. Water Injection tank from Pro Alloy
5. Strengthened diff cage and all new diff mounts
6. Plumber in fire extinguisher system
7. New dashboard with more leg clearnance
8. New electrical install to power all the bloomin gadgets and guages properly
9 . New Extra wide rear arches to accomodate wider track
10. Carbon arch protectors
11. New Carbon front arches
12. Carbon inner body panels
13. 6 point crutch straps for the harnesses
14. New carpets
15. New funky DDS3 Aquamist WI system with ANOTHER gauage
16. New wider driveshafts to suit rear
17. Dare I say it....but probably a Martoon remap to extract every last BHP out of the poor engine possible!!!
Thats a fair bit to be getting on with so watch this space for some crap quality photo updates!
Oh, and I dont think it will be seen in its yellow outer plastic skin anymore either.

You missed out new carbon aeroscreen and more new suspension (either Ohlins... or more probably Nitrons) after all... the Procomps have done at least 400 miles. Time to upgrade again whooooopsy.... nothing like a constantly moving spec and budget to annoy the buider. huh stu
Next update (after this one!) is also in pipeline too Just waiting on parts! extra wide Carbon rear arches and a mental Carbon diffuser are also on order... just waiting for them to be done. Send him a reminder text Stu!
then after that update.... AND I have learnt to drive it as fast as I can...
its going to get a special Martoon engine and get properly mental!
In fact.... I can see it now! meet Brum in year 2010
good luck Stu!

Yes its going white.... and this is very contraversial as some people think this is a crap idea...
and even I admit it is ghey!! but I am going to get it livered up like Jensons Brawn GP F1 car.
I have had some designs done already but they are on a PDF doofloopy and I cant work out how to post them up.
I think its a fun idea... others think I am smoking crack and its homo

Thanks but have used Stus mate and just don't like em....
the only reason I would do it is to save some space as my dash is seriously looking like a space shuttles now... and I SOOO wanted to keep it simple looking!
Just bought another carbon blank for poor stu to do ANOTHER dash with!
whoooops!

Different car now it handles... its SOOO much better since when you last drove it!
the new rear wishbones, new rear anti roll bars, wider track and more new suspension are going to make it even better as well!!!
Having a car handle nicley is so rewarding and carrying big speed through corners is thrilling.
VERY excited!

I'd not be prepared to push someone else's car hard enough to really notice the difference in handling I suspect, so you will have to take me out for a full bore banzie nutter passenger lap at the next trackday we are both at.
You got any plans to do RS Combe?

think they want Ł325 each
which i think is 1/3 of what they are new, also have 8mb logging memory
also has gear indicator on them as there bike versions, but dont have to be used.

I assume its the bottom of the range "visor" one, just been looking on their website.
http://shop.aim-tec.co.uk/m3-visor-39-p.asp
Looks absolutely useless to lee as its only inputs are:
speed
rpm
ecu feed, which is antique ecu wont do
Might be interested in one myself though as all my sensors go via the autronic anyway.
* EDIT - Just seen your edit about being 8 meg, in which case it would be pretty good for him after all as the 8 meg ones have more inputs *
Stu, its a Car one not a Kart one according to their website.
