May have seen this and can't be arsed t go thru 20+ pages - is it a UK guy that sent his liner to NZ and they basically made it so mint its untrue? Manifold is a work of art? If so its worth the read for anyone that hasn't.

Well worth the read.

all RIPS cars are amazing, thats just 2 of a few, Lee's 33 was just as nuts that they did and sent back.

shows how good their work are when people put their WHOLE cars on boats, ship em to the other side of the world, just to be modded

suprisingly cheap too, puts the UK to shame massivley.

because its a fully road driven car too.

that engine will be much nicer to drive with that spec than a T4/GT35'd Cossie, it just happens to run 9s too.

Cant remember what Lee's did, mid/low 10s anyhow.

Robbie dont rip you off like the UK, quality of work is miles better, and its about 3 NZD to the Ł.

Price, well gonna depend loads what you have done, but cheaper than getting anything else to similar performance, thats for sure.

just read the entire 24 pages.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME work by RIPS.

Although i think the car current guise is a bit pointless and is a very oddball, keeping the interior in.

Its a pure drag and race car, with shoot, now a sequential box, cage nets, buckets and a cage, and i expect it will be trailed to most events, seems very odd to want the interior in.

Each to there own, but he seems to have build the car for 1 purpose but still maintains it as a road car.

Maybe im completely wrong here and missing the point?

Either way outrageously awesome car and a credit to both him and RIPS for the work.

Just spent an hour reading that. Why any UK Skyline owner would even consider using a UK tuner after that for anything other than servicing is beyond me. I've never seen such attention to detail and pride in their work from any UK Skyline tuner .

Ryan- Its completely drivable and useable on the road, WAY more drivable than 99% of big power Cossie road cars, so why not? Its clearly not a sole purpose car, its more like Rods, fucking fast, but fully road useable if want.
The reason for the cage etc is race regs, no choice, road car or not.

Mike- Exactly why I didnt even consider doing anything but get my engine done by Robbie when I had my Skyline. The value and attention to detail, not to mention true knowlege, or countless tuners in NZ, Oz, and USA, makes us all look totally wank for the money IMO.
No idea on price, but Id say complete engine/turbo/managment/mapping/etc wouldve been 15k tops knowing Robbie, not sure on the rest.

feck me thats cheap.

as you've said stav, attention to details, is above anything i've seen in the country.

Truely amazing!

I can see where you coming from, but surely a stripped out car can still be used on the road no problems at all, is the interior there purely to combat noise? or to make it purely look more "roady"

have you never driven a totally stripped car on the road for decent amount of time to tell how bad it makes it ryan? esp from how nice a fully trimmed skyline feels/sounds/drives?

stripping a car is shite for the road, and rarely makes much REAL difference anyhow on a heavy car like a Skyline, in comparison to other mods, you cant really tell in a 1200kg car, never mind a 1600kg one.

and thats coming from me, who has owned at about 10 totally stripped but totally road going cars now... (and usually regret it )
