Thank's..
Stripped interior, Cut out spare wheel well and ally plated,
Cut out sunroof and ally plated but now there's carbon
roof's for mk4's i'll be getting some of that. No spoiler. Cut out
inside of boot lid and bonnet. Things like that. I've got a roll
cage now though so weight may be more this time round.
When it's all done i'll get to the weigh bridge.

My manifold is from a 105ps escort and has SO on the back and fitted on a 2.0. The ports do look smaller than my 2.0 manifold and seems to strangle the engine at high revs. How does the rs1800 manifold compare to the sivertop 2.0 one? Its the same one as the 1.8 115ps engine and they use the 105ps cams and throttle body.

If it has HO on the back its an RS1800/130PS Manifold. HO = High Output.

I don't know how much weight i've saved yet, just gonna wait
until it's all built and finished before i get it on the weigh bridge
again - probably heavier this time as it's a bigger engine, has a
roll cage and things like that

They are running TSI now (iirc... same as Pod) - had a looooong lesson about timing equipment with the boss man up there last time we went
Good luck with the build anyway fella, I personally find it highly unlikely that you'll even see a mid 12 - FWD Ford's just don't seem to be able to go quickly down the 1/4 - not when compared to the Honda's, VW's and Vauxhalls in this country anyway.
And thats speaking from the experience of watching a 400 horse zetec turbo mk4 do run after run after run at York and barely touch the 13's.
Will keep an eye on this thread anyway - be nice to see some more ford's at TOTB next year!!

Correct, was quite some time ago when York were still using none-certified timing equipment. If that car came out and ran at Pod today think it'd struggle to see a 12 personally, but hey ho...

Its probably because most Ford owners are too obsessed with peak BHP figures. Its all fine and well having 400 or 500+ bhp but if you cant get the thing off the line then its wasted power.
Get the set up right and the times will come down.
That 13.6 with with 195bhp was a very impressive time !!
