Som pictures from the paintshop, car was supposed to be ready today, but final inspection before paint revealed a really wierd dent in the roof, that I've never seen before... of course we had to fix it!
Therefore the car won't be back from paint untill tomorrow morning, but it is still a very decent timescope to have the job done within, it was there in the evening the 17th and then back again the 22nd, so we are still very very pleased with that!
Can't wait to get on with final assembly

We did a minor change tough, the colour we used is a mercedes one, looks almost the same as the ford one, but with lots more metallic in it. Very pleased with the job done.
Picked the car up early today, and we had good progress putting it back together the rest of the day
A photo from when we where about to put it back ot the trailer :

Hehe, tnx for the entusiasm and good words, but remember that at the moment the car ain´t fast at all , even tough there is potensial for it , it´s gonna take a while experimenting to get a decent set up - and a god map for the engine!
We´d LOVE to go to totb, just want to make shure we have a competitice and tried/tested package first!
Then there´s the $$$ an €€€´s about going! My bank account is not loaded after this build is completed , to put it that way.... :S
I gonna have to look into getting some sponsors so we can travel around and profile them togheter with the car at shows and track days. I think this old Ford is gonna attract some attention so sponsors for shure are gonna get noticed
Okay - back to the workshop!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
really starting to take shape now.
cant wait for some vids.
the only thing id say about getting sponsors is,
as youve built the car yourself, do you really want companies names splashed all over the car?
i know i dont, thats why theres no names on mine.
its just with stickers/sponsers names on it people will think they had a hand in the work.

Agreed, BUT , imagine the car participating in e.g. TOTB with decals on the sides saying somthing like :
"Powered by Viagra - From Pheizer"
Haha, it would be just great fun and massive massive attention for Pheizer
Let's just get it all together now, and then we'll se what we can accomplish
Cheers to you of you from us, and thanks for the support

The biggest strike in Norway for 30 years in clogging things up abit for us... :X
Missing a front seal for the cam chain covers, a bulk pack of dynamat and som other small stuff... that we need to actually fire the engine - transportation businesses are closed..!
Anyway, we will be leaving for denmark on thursday and just have the car on static display at DHB..
We did a last minute change to the bonnet thoug, not quite finished in this photo as you can see.. but we figured a mesh covering the two went holes was a far to "easy" way out, so we had to find a different solution.
Making the lids in aluminum shure is a decent challenge, given the tooling we have in our workshop....or rather lack of tooling - theese are made with grinder and a hammer, an english wheel would have been a dream to have in the making og theese...!

sva might not be needed as the car is old enough and has some original parts left on it lol! only clear answer you will get though is to bring it over and have a test centre look over it. why would you want it SVA'd anyways? just keep it registered on your plates and registration, the car can be here for upto 12 months before needing registering as long as the owner has residence in the country its registered too

I am going to TUV it, it will also have a go at SFRO(sweden) and some SVA paperwork would also come in handy in the mentally hard process (even tough a complete tuv test would do it according to the authorities i have been in touch with in regard to this) of getting it road legal in norway again.
And for instance if i'd like to take it to TOTB, i need some paperwork done.

surely if the cars legal in the your country then TOTB wont need any paper work? ok a UK MOT is needed to prove the cars road legal but your car is not a UK car so surely the equivilent is enough, SVA is alot of money and your car being left hand drive and right hand of road setup (im guessing) a SVA will be a pain to do as ull need full RHD spec lights front and rear, if TOTB needs a UK MOT then take the car to a MOT centre and explain the situation and pay the guy for a test, it wont mean anything or go on the UK system but im sure with a piece of paper sayin "yes this car would pass a UK MOT" that should do? seems alot of money for a car thats not going to be a UK registered car in my opinion
isnt the TUV a much more precise test than our SVA (which is now a IVA test by the way, SVA is for commercial vehicles now) and harder to pass?

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
would definately need an IVA test if it was built over here, as its all done on a points system with original axles, steering and chassis/monocoque. dont think your motor would get away with being original on that system Joel
looking good for the respray, and the wheels set the motor off brilliantly
i take it the panels in the bonnet are removable for a bit of extra cooling for the turbos then? look fooking marvellous to me
