LOL they probably can put some nitrogen into it. Anyways I'm just having similar operation done by JRZ suspension in Holland - had to send the shocks to have quick-release aero-style fittings fitted to remote canisters as it's hard to carry any work on the car with them on.

I love your escort Mike, pretty much exactly how i would built an escos myself!
One question : could you try to describe how the car felt with the ohlins dampers in comparrison to, for instance your previous suspension set up? I am considering letting them build me a set for next year.
I hear they totally transform the handlig of the car, but haven't ever had the pleasure of testing a car with an ohlins set up.

I have not yet perfected the set up and Ohlins allow you one spring change FOC, so I am currently waiting for a pair of softer rear springs and a pair of longer fronts. I should have these shortly and will then be able to let you know. At the moment there is less roll with good compliance on the soft settings, but the rear spring (being rated as hard as the fronts) means that it currently crashes over bumps on the rear and there isn't enough squat / weight transfer, so I imagine it will slide too much on track as it is at the moment (as that is what it does on the hardest settings of the previous set-up) .

Well suspension is pretty complicated technology, and there are loads of different compromises to take account for/into consideration.... :S
For my car, all suspension pick up points are changed so we will run a "cheap" avo coil over set up first to test and decide on spring rates and stuff...
But i hear BIG words about the ohlins ones, especially on very high HP cars that we seem to have quite a few of up here in the nordic's, they put kind of put the power down better as well.
Good luck with the spring change, hope you get it sorted =)

The proper motorsport Ohlins cannot be compared to cheap road-setups in my opinion. I have driven a couple of rallycars and top-of-the-line suspensions from Reiger, Tein, and Ohlins are shokcing for the first timer.
