its just probe / temp gun method has its own faults (on trackdays situations)
due to cool down lap and delay from hard use to temps being taken.
Race teams use tyre temp logging ssytem involving laser sensors over the tyre which can show tyre temps through the lap/run. I think there is even off the shelf solution from Racelogic.
With spare wheel, MDF parcel shelf and toolkit (without driver) it weighs 1477kg, with this removed (as in how I run it on track days) it is 1446Kg (without driver). With me in the car, this goes back up to 1523kg, so about the same as Harvey's car with his fat son and Harvey in it (as they're both well over 100kg) !
Mike are you going to do Time Attack when it is done?
Mike
I may do a round at Snetterton, I just want to get back into using the car again, as by the time it is finished, it will have been off the road for almost exactly 12 months, and I am climbing the wall itching to use it in anger again .
I think you may break the character of the car totally. Go back to the first page of this thread, and it looks fantastic
As said though, I hope I'm wrong Why did you decide to go the WRC route?
Fancied a change and teh WRC look had never been done to factory style finish (panel gaps all over the place), so I wanted to do it properly .
However, how I have done it, I can swap and change between the standard look and the WRC look in around 45 minutes, as the wings have been made bolt on and I have the OE tailgate etc and another set of standard wings converted to bolt on . So I will chop and change the look depending on my mood .
Mike have you weighed that boot spoiler? I had one of those, looks just the same bar the carbon bit, and fook me, was mega heavy ! - i changed it for a much lighter one.

Fairplay Mike, and as you said, I'm sure you'll do it properly

It will be made in carbon fibre - that was just one I got temporarily .
However, I don't want to loose too much weight from the rear, as this is very easy to do on these cars and makes it very nose heavy. So I have concentrated on moving weight from the front and moving it to the rear (to get a 50/50 split). So to that end the battery has been moved to the boot (10kg). But then I have lost 10kg from the tailgate (no wiper motor, plexi-glass etc).
