Would a Zetec be a straight fit onto the original HCS mounts?

you would use a zetec mount , or a cvh one and mod it , sooo easy got one here , something like a 1.6 1.8 or even 2.0 ltr nothing really hard about it i swapped my enigne over today took me about 3 hrs but then iv done it loadds of times

the wiring loom goes in with 7 wires so you just need to add them and plug and play

Well i finally got it running, One HT lead was on the wrong plug lol.

Anyway It seems to be running rough atm. is that due to it been standing for so long or?

Also its noisey but the valve clearance is corret.

Anyone got the spark plug gap for a 1.3 HCS engine, some reason the hynes manual doesnt tell you it.

Thanks

hi have pm'd you mate. sounds like its a timing issue. wouldnt also hurt to check theres no leaks on the inlet vacum pipes.

spark gap is 1.3mm

Checked all the hoses and connections on the inlet manifold, seems to be alright. Think i will redo the valve clearance.

valves will always sound "tappety" thats just how the hcs are. you shouldnt have to redo the valves mate? was it a new cam?

have you checked the timing yet?

haha

if u roll it back and forth a few feet the car will sit a true -60mm. looks like its 45-50 at mo. happens cos when you jack the car the suspension swings down then when u drop the car of the jack the wheel will have a positive camber (lean out at top a little) untill the tyres are rolled and the geometry is realigned.

will look great with some nice alloys, i must dig out the pic of mine to give u some more enthuasium

think i might removed the inner plastic arches from the front just to be safe.

Will get some alloys as soon as funds allow
