Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Hi awsome looking car you have!
I was just wondering if it was possible to make up more of the mirrors you have?
And where do you get hold of the engine bay stickers?
Cheers Kjetil

It's worth doing, it actually as quick job the only thing that delayed mine was i didn't buy everything at once which i should have - yes i am looking forward to getting the car back but i won't get much more usage out of it this year but it's all done and ready to roll out of the garage come spring

Soon, had an email from James today and it's all going well -
"most of the idle and cruise work is done, been out mapping part load and starting to see some boost today, one things for sure, its going to be fookin rapid"
I like the sound of that
Those budget tyres are gonna take a fuckin first port of call when it returns is Camskill for some proper rubber on the spare MO's - not sure what to go for though, 235/40 888's / Goodyear Eagle F1 or Toyo Proxes T1 Sport I can get a full set of F1's fitted for Ł453 215 front and 235 rear
Cheers Pete, yes the pod is the first show so can't wait.
As for the rolling road, it's still in transit so i won't be getting a power figure with the car that will be a later date when they have it all up and running i'll pop back down and have it tested.

I have no idea why people slate 888's in the wet they are far better than any other tyre I have driven in the wet.
I was a 1.5 seconds faster than anyone else in my Class at Prescott in the damp and if your daft enough to get it on boost in standing water then you deserve to crash!

they are comedy in the snow even with 4wd.
I wouldnt have them on a car you drive regularly in the wet as you will get caught out in a heavy shower and then youll need new pants.
Last thing you want is driving on the motorway at 70 in the rain, perfectly finely then hit a slight dip in the road, standing water and find the car is twitching all over the place even at steady speed.
Maybe a heavier car like a cossie is better on them but i found even on 4wd i would be all over the road on saturated roads even only on moderate acceleration coming on boost. Whereas on a normal road tyre i can get away with most things in the wet unless youre being stupid and mash the pedal to the carpet.

There's no way on this Earth Chris will be driving his minty mint 3 Door in the snow and i'd imagine only rarely in the wet.
Drive a Cossie with 888's on you won't believe how much grip you have, in fact if you want to come round and come out in mine I can do you back to back runs with 888's and Hankook V12 EVO's the Hankooks are a good road tyre but it's night and day compared to the 888's.

So does the 205/40 work in the same principal then adding a little extra?
The only problem is i have the kids in the car so is it worth risking, i'm not sure i'd rather put F1's on and know they are going to work in all conditions.

Just measured the cxn's that have 215's on, and that measurement 243mm would stick well over the edge and they're 8.5" rears.
So does the 205/40 work in the same principal then adding a little extra?
All the time John, even in the summer it rains up here, i just can't get away from it or i'd never use it

I still think even with you driving it in the wet will prefer the 888's my offer stands if you fancy it mate.

rich take him out in the rain and boot it on a saturated road on R888's
I had R888's on for part of last winter on my car which is a daily drive and i wouldnt do it again during winter as it just wasnt fun on anything really wet which was a lot of the time round my way!!
had to drive like a poof especially round towns roundabouts otherwise the back end was all over the place. I dont expect that driving 15-20mph round a small roundabout
However i will agree that in all but the wettest conditions, they are far superior to any road tyre.

cossie fan (unluckerly)
theres no tyre out there that works well with a 500bhp rwd cosworth in the wet lol mine go's out in 5th at 80 in the wet! R888s are very good tyres you will just have to stay away from the wet lol

I don't want to get too technical James but what sort of rpm's does it start seeing boost and then peaking, just trying to get an idea of what it's going to be like all the way to 7800
