Glad it's all sorted mate.

We always leave brand new lifters upside down filled with oil for 24hours. They never tap from new then.

Enjoy the new power.

Not got a print out Jim but it was said to be around 400 - hopefully should get a power figure at some time over the summer.

Update time - Bodyshop again

The upper spoiler paint cracked around the cap holes after it was painted at the end of summer 08 so finally got around to sorting that, the front bumper is having the scratch the AA caused around the tow eye and the arches are all being rolled
back to allow the car to run low with out rubbing on the back under load.

Pictures and progress to follow tomorrow.

If you roll the arches do you also have to cut a bit away from the skirts or are you leaving the skirts in tact?

I have a proper rolling tool which looks like a scissor jack, we'll be heating up the arch until it's too hot to touch then rolling the metal - due to the mounting points on the arches being removed only half of the screws can be used so it will have to moulded on as half the plastic width is being cut away.

My car has rolled archers too, it had those wide BBS split rims on before and the previous owner has cut away almost all the plastic of the skirts. It's only bolted at the rear bumber and in front of the wheels. He used some glue I guess to fit the must upper part of the skirt to the panel (above the wheel). Also the rolling hasn't been done that well on my car unfortunatly. Got some rust in some places where it has been rolled.

Looking forward to some pics if you have rolled them

Right after smacking one of the wheels on the way to Croft i have decided to take the split's off for now get them repaired and in the mean time will be fitting a set of old style silver RL7's i've just picked up - my mate is dropping them off tomorrow night so will get pictures up when they are fitted.

Heres the latest damage - seems to be every time i use the car i get another damaged part

I know what you mean Carlo i have to polish these all the time - if you want a set of RL7's drop us a pm mate - i would prefer a set of 18" mo 6 spokes

shit luck mate my rims were anodised outers and were not much duller than having polished. No hassle cleaning them all the time then.

I know what you mean about damaging the car everytime it goes out mines been like that recently and i have only driven it about 4 times since i have had it
