brings back a lot of memories of when me and my mate restored my s1 replica. its sooo worth the hassle and bloodshed matey keep in there and you'll really enjoy the results!
mine is now minter than factory and being a xr3i - s1 replica, A hell of lot better looking than factory. mine just needs the engine to finish it as its only running xr3i cvh.

Got a good bit done today with new drip rail sections and work on the fusebox / inner wing area. Scuttle and a couple of small bits to do and the front end is finished

Dave has the pictures of the car but here is one of him with some improvised ear plugs

Cheers for that Dave.....no a bad pic tho

Well sunday we moved the car round to start on the rear driver side inner arch and make more room to get in about the sill, this is how the car looked then:

Today Davids been busy plating up the inner drivers side sill at the rear and making some repair plates, also welded in the battery tray and 2 front drip rail repair sections fully, just need to be ground back now!!

Rear inner arch been cut away and can see some repair sections on inner sill I think??
Nasty drum brake to be replaced with cossie setup!

Ground back bits on the rear panel and couple of small repairs need done, also found the drivers side rear valance could do with a repair section so that needs doing..if I find any more rust I swear i'll blow a fuse

Some art David got done..

"Beyond Hope Of Repair, FUCT"

Sneaky pic of ZVH bottom end, some might spot the turbo was at the wrong side! will be put back to where its meant to be tho will rebuild and fit new pistons but thats a LONG way off!

BIG thanks to david for all the time he's put in so far, much appreciated mate!

Euan, I really hope I can have it painted for me coming back my hols in 4 weeks from now!

TurboBlower, I did mate, got 2, got them from a local bodywork supplier but they are hadrien parts and this seems to be hadriens website!
Also try beaver auto panels online, they have the same catalogue as hadrien (same panels) but list prices..their not expensive panels!
www.carpanels.co.uk

Cheers for the comments everyone, think David will be off welding for a bit after doing mine

Well not much to report as i've been on holiday for near 3 weeks and David wasnt able to do work while I was away so its more or less how it looks in the last pic.

Went up tonight with David and he finnished welding the sill on I started to seam sealer the front inner wings where they been welded and just as a wee experiment to see how it would turn out I painted half the driver side inner wing with stone chip! doing it with a brush so it'll need a few coats to build it up but its starting to look a bit better up front! never got any pics so will get some tomorow night once i've done a bit more

Well heres a pic or 2, applied some colour at last (in the form of stone chip, 2 coats so far) will prob need about 4 or 5 coats, then will spray it with white paint!

David done a plate inside the car under where the rear bench would be, it's getting their...now that side has stone chip on it feels like its getting somewhere anyway altho looks otherwise!

And a pic I quite like of how it used to look...
