Im dreading taking my sunroof out, it doesnt seem to sit propper.. lower at the back like. Wonder what it looks like inside

 

that is a REALLY pants way of changing the roof over mate! if only the outer skin was rusted, then you can change just the outer skin. a guy on here has done it to his S2 turbo.

even if you rolled the car as it was, the roof would crush but it wouldnt crush/snap off as much as it will now since you just weakend the whole effing roof!

oh well, your life in your hands/feet - literally!

Mk3ghia, you nearly hit the spot ...huh spot on, here's why: evry one knows that when having a sunroof, the interior ceiling comes down about 5cms, and me measuring 6'8" figure it out yourself.....

nearly scattered... went for a visit to my beloved one....but lightning grasped my breath. There she was......all left alone, more dents in her body than ever before.....more rust than ever beofre my heart broke, so decided I would get her outta there. Hey how would you feel, if you were left alone for two months, guess she's all mad at me, but there's light at the end of the tunnel tho!! Seems like you can only trust yourself, fine mate I have .. always promising he'll start next week, but look at her, man

one day

 

all rust is gone(except for the spare wheel well), the car has been moved to a far better and dryer location, to speed up things decided to give the hcar in hands of our body work shop, as they have a fair big name in restoring old timers, sad thing tho is that the yonly have a small place within three wekks, but it'll all be done within the week, will take sevarl days non pated holiday to helo finish it!!!
will take some pics if it , as all the rust is nearly gone

well seems like I made it
anywayz the car has been nicely accepted, in it's new enviroment, and has been moved once aain to our bodyworkshop,
Where they too nearly cried and declared me crazy, what the heck!!!!
decided it would be best if I found a complete left side rear wing, which I did from a junkyard for a mereŁ60's and absolutely dent free.
