Default S2 bare shell respray (updated 26th April)

what do you think of my S2.

Its not painted yet but you can see how clean she is.

replaced the front end and the doors coz of some rust starting.

Should get her back fully painted on saturday 7th Feb.

Matt

Its going back to good old Ford Diamond White.

couldn't afford a better colour, wanted a flip but it was to expensive.

Just forked out Ł4500 on new 2.1zvh, Ł940 of qauife gear box and Ł1240 on new ECU so had to keep costs down.

Will post some more phots hopefully this saturday when she comes home.

hello mate.yeh i realised it wernt your f/room on 3 rd pic.it was bloody late and i was knackered.lol, anyway if u got a min look at the post."my smashed s2 front end nearly back togeather" in this section.i hit a deer on the way home from jamsport in northampton and i hit a deer at full 17 psi boost.it was midnight on a dark deserted dual carrage way.shit my pants, nearly .think my mate did .i shouted "shit" he looked out the w,screen and saw a face (the deer) for a split second b4 i hit the thing.the insurance co agreed to pay 4 it Ł2k,and the garage have had it for 5 months,it did look mint b4 ,theyve not even welded the front wing and pannel on yet.im going to see again in a bit.then there painting the front end .roof.(extra job)and the rear bumper they have scratched.im realy gutted, last time i drive on the A27 late at night,TAKE A LOOK AT THE SLOW REPAIR PROGRESS,THERE MY FIRST PICS AND R A BIT POOR,,,,,,,,regards David

Diamond White is a horrible colour when you look whats in it. That's the reason I am having mine sprayed in something else. I don't like flips and pearls personally on RS's. I prefer them looking standardish.

Should look good for a few years though

It only cost me Ł1300 including all the underside and inside, I did all the cleaning etc and they simply had to prep and paint, i supplied all the paint as well.

Basically mate try and do all the work you can to the car before it goes into the body shop, if it needs mud cleaned off from under the arches etc they will charge you for that.
Any greace in the engine bay needs to be cleaned off. basically get the car as ready for painting as you can.
