this week i prepaired the enginebay for the 2.0 zetec to go in
and i modified the plate that sits between the engine and the gearbox, because of the starter location in the mondeo at the rear

the original plate and the little peace that needs welding on the plate

welded and painted

than i could connect the gearbox and the engine(i'm using a old camcover for the instalation)

on it's way to his new home

and the engine is in , but no pictures of it yet

and i pollished the front struttops, i'm not sure i'll keep it this way , but it will do for now

hopefully i can start the 2.0l this weekend

last week i'v been bussy
the front susspension back in GAZ shocks and fiesta st brakes

and the 2.0l in

i cleaned the front angine mount and painted it

and al build up

i need to clean it , i see dust in the pics

than came the big moment
first remove the fuse from te feulpump and the sparkplugs, and crank it over a few times

sparkplugs and feulpumpfuse back in
ok here we go
i turn the key and .... hu hu hu hu..... hu hu hu hu
like i was thinking a flat battery
got my parents focus and conected the jumperleads and tried again

it started the first time
and than switched it of again, i'm running piper cams and i have to run them in at +- 2500rpm for 20min, i couldn't do this as i had a cooling fluid leak
the next day i fixt the leak and charged the battery and started it again
20min at 2500 for the cams to bed in
than switched it of again and let it cooldown for a night

next day i started it again , to see what the idle whould do
it staled emediatly

the reason was that i dismantled the throtlebody and i had tho adjust the butterfly a bit , now it idle's at 1000rpm and 900rpm

i'v done the first miles and it runs verry wel , i'v not driven it hard just taking it easy and run it in for a few 1000miles

i'm happy that it does what its supposed to do knowing i did it al by myself and i'm just a elektrician and never had a mecaniks training.
i'm verry pleased

a few weeks back i was doing the last running in miles on the 2.0 and than this happend
the back end lost traction and afte a few times trying to correct it i whent in the ditch :x
i had no injuries thats the good thing , but the fiesta is something else
this is how it looked like

the place off impact

the next day when i was over the first shock i started stripping it
the front suspention is al fine , also is the engine , maybe the left rear wheel is bent on the axel, i have to check later, the chassis is ok , only the body has a few big dents

i will post the last updates on the fiesta
i got the inner wheelarch at the rear back in shape and i welded a new peace on the outside

and than welded a new Quarter panel on

all nice gaps

and because i couldn't find a quarter panel from a mk3,5 i had to chop it and weld a new peace in for the filler flap from a mk3,5

the correct peace for a mk3,5 fillerflap

where it should be

and the mk3,5 fillerflap in place

that's it for now

the last days i'v been bussy
i preped it all ready for paint
i made myself a "paintbooth" with some plastic and 2 filters , 1 drawing air out , the other one blowing fresh air in

in the back you see a clean filter
and then soe paint and clear

the strange lines you see is the plastic reflecting
and the filter did his job

the wheelarches from the bodykit

the boothlid

and the enginebay back in frozen white

there is a little bit of dust here and there , all in the clearcoat, so i can pollish it out

the bumpers , spoiler and the middle section from the bodykit are next

grtz

i now have everything painted , only the sideskirt from the kit to go.
the spoiler had some cracks in the paint, so some new paint

there was a crack in the rear bumper, at the hole where the toweye sits, i did some plasticwelding and its all good now

the front bumper is "total loss" , a new one in place

the filler hole cover painted

the rear build back up

and this weekend i got the engine back in and running nice
a new rad

a nice engine bay

a few things to do, i have to source e new rear axle and some small details to go

it has been a long time that i updated this topic
so here we go
i orderd a megasquirt kit in the usa and started building it, I also made a ford EECIV to megasquirt adaptor so that i didn't need to cut the original loom and make the megasquirt plug and play.
this is the circuitboard that i made(ignore the EECV on the board)

drilled the holes

i ripped a old EECIV in peaces for the EECIV 60pin connector and mounted it to the circuitboard that i made

it fits in the ford ecu case

the megasquirt loom to the adapterboard

ready
