looking good kev how much wider is the body kit compared to the escort cossy ?.

Cheers bud, the body isn't any wider than a standard escort cosworth mate just looks it to the eye due to havbing the RS side skirts instead of the massive escos ones.

 

I damaged my hands yesterday and didnt think I would be able to go to lock up today but got up this morning and was a lot better

so went uyp lock up and started on it again

also bit frustrated as I ordered all me bolts this week and not all arrived in time so was unable to get front end rolling

but got all the back bolted up with new bolts, powder coated rear beam and polly bushes fitted and coil overs tucked in.




I miss judged the length needed on rear springs iirc there 9's and I am going to need 12's as there full adjusted atm and still looks slammed.

tested Sams 300mm discs on the rear but new rear beam when built will have fabrication done to it for callipers to fit this set up.



I tuck a pic of my coil over clearance to show saint as I remember him having issues with his -



Hopefully get the front sorted in the week and then off to me mates the weekend for polishing up.

 

went up me lock up after work this evening to spend an hour as want to get it rolling for weeekend but fuck me it was to hot

spent under an hour there and had to leave as it was to warm to do anything

managed to get one turret drilled and fitted also one of me ZOO bottom arms





bit anoiying though as the joint on the arm that the hub sits on is a bit seized, have soaked it in WD40 and hope it free off tomorrow or will be a bitch to get hub on

found again I need tweo more bolts also lol the two bolts that hold hub onto lower arm, always miss something dont ya.

maybe more tomorrow as hoping to get it on all four wheels by the end of week.

 

i like your top mounts i got to do mine next year as they do not bolt up flat like yours ,have you not polished it yet

No not polished it yet lol thats why im getting it rolling so I can take it to me mate Kevs for him to do it, cut it back as quick as I did because was told the longer I left the paint to harden the harder it would be to cut back.

Cut it back 2 weeks after paint, will be nice to it polished up as looking at the shiney bumper is doing me head in lol

 

went up lock up again this evening with kids in car to spend another half an hour, propper frustrating having the kids in toe as theyre arguing in the car lol never again

any way, managed to get temperary front hubs fitted, had to adjust the o/s bottom arm to get it fitted and in doing so to make anything from them being adjustable I am going to have to open up the bolt holes in the subframe to allow some movement with the arms etc, another job to do.

Dont ever bother powder coating all ya stuff though lads just hammerite pmsl as its a basterd trying to fit shit trying not to reck ya paint.

I think the pics with the shiney bumper makes it look shit lol its a bit gutting not having it all polished up for first time it is on all fours as I wouldnt have rushed getting it rolling had it been mopped on the stand etc

maybe done Saturday, got to chat to Kev yet

 

was unable to get car polished today but should be doen next weekend

so tuck seats back to the car today as got to drill some holes for the harnesses and I also got my bolts to bolt the seat rails in

didnt do anything as to hot again so just placed it all in a left pmsl

but front springs seem to have settled down a bit now as car looks lower on the front

Yer was going to completely break it Glen mate but couldnt do it lol, sold the t/b's n ecu and just dont have the people skills to put up with potential buyers who take the piss tbh lol

So I'll be bolting it all together and spending very minimal time on it mate as time is needed else where atm.

 

sadly still not been polished up, slightly frustrated waiting for it to be done but least itll get done properly

tuck some camber pics for a lad on another forum, haven't even adjusted it yet





got tempted and placed a bit of G3 on with a cloth by hand and it did this lol

Cars two thirds polished today, my mate Kev came with all the pro stuff and we got cracking about 12 and went on till around 4, all left to do now is the drivers side.

Few places on the car where the paint is thin on the edges and Kev has decided he wants to come back and blow them in.

But as Kevs a professional painter he says for a car thats been painted in what is basicly a shed its good going lol
