Right, weekend update.......
I carried on with the wires friday morning, got the main fusebox wired in and starter cable etc run through the car, no pics, but everyone knows what wires look like!
The lads got the car in the booth, got it flatted and masked and ready for some Red
Phil gurning at me:
No pics of the masking or anything, it looked like they'd had a fight with tape and brown paper to me
When the car came out of the oven, this is what we got
remember, this is all off the gun, not even flatted, polised, buffed anything at all, so imagine how bright it'll all be when its polished and buffed and the jagged edge is neither here nor there, there's gonna be a big grey stripe there in the next couple of days
Ian ran into a minor hurdle today with the suspension mounts, tightened all the mount up properly and the bonnet wouldn't close The top of the strut was fouling the underside of the bonnet 5 minutes later and a 15mm hole in the webbing under the bonnet and all was good
Just waiting on some parts from Martin to arrive and then we can crack on and get it done

We're using 8J X 17 inch Comp MO's at the minute, sterring lock is not too bad, but the rack has to be modded to stop the wheels rubbing the inner arches on full lock.
The lock problem can be overcome by using Focus RS arches (or any other wide arches for that matter) and winding the TCA's out another 20mm or so and moving the top mounts about, but everyone seems to use Focus RS stuff, so we decided it would be nice to be a little different
