Default little tidy up job

bought this today

used to be a bunus then it was 3i now it rs turbo

clean old shell, no real rust on it, few scabs popping up but im keeping away from that stuff

jobs to do
replace loom (got 1 with a cat 1 ready to go )
rs carpet and other trims
mint up the seats
replace suspension (most of its loose or finger tight )
fit ecu's up
tidy the bay up
get some propper lamps
find a better silver boot
mot her up

wont take a great deal to mot once the looms done, at the moment it does alsorts of strange things and very little works

got it started to check it over and the guy haddnt refitted the oil return so we covered his grans drive in oil
seems to run very well tho with its mongoose pipe and bits here and there, hopefully its chipped too

going to have fun sorting the sheared off seat bolt stubs from the floors

will make a nice thrash about/track/cheap insurance car for some1 when done

1st jobs done, do away with that rope bonnet pull and fitted a decent 1

getting some jobs done

interior is all out showing 2 bits needing weld, on inner sills, never would have failed an mot on, its well hidden, but ill sort it, neither touch the outer sills

and the seat mount has a snapped bolt so will sort that out

old looms half out
floors are very clean

too much rain to get much more done

im loving the welding, ok so its not new floors and inners but were not talkin classic car here so its being kept sensible

nothing the mot man would have noticed as it didnt show from the underside but i like welding so found as much as i could

the seat mount was a bitch as it had been welded from the underside before but was well knackered above and had a sheared bolt but i cut the same parts from the rs im breaking, drilled the spots so i only welded in the reataining/strenthening section, could put some really fat people in the drivers seat now

just the rear sills next, they could scrape an mot but ill just sort it
everywherre else is mint, rear chassis rails are perfect

still cracking on, its got its new loom, 88 spec interior, some painted up and shiney bits, needs a release bearing and the top ends a bit rattley so may sell it as a going concern as i havent time to do much else

ahh well see how it goes on pistonheads

if it stays ill stuff my cammed up spare engine in for a quick fix and sort a cam kit on this engine at some point

its all on teh key and built up now tho
