Engine finished March I guess, car a month or so later.
As regards TOTB their is not a Topspeed event as such anymore they have shortened it to 1k & made all the big HP RWD boys uncompetative, so no longer an event for mine.

Tyres arrived so had them fitted to new Speedline Corsa wheels.
215/40/17 front 235/40/18 rear. Tyres are Toyo888.
This is my new road set-up for Topspeed runs will use OZ Superleggera
215/40/17 front & 225/40/19 rear. Tyres TBD. The Dunlops ssr are discontinued so im looking at the new Pilot Sports.

Will look good Rod! What size brakes are you running on the front? I would have thought that you'd need brakes that wouldn't fit under a 17'' wheel?

More bits to go in
The gauges have been made modular during the cleaning up of the wiring behind the dash- these jobs take time.
As far as im aware the car is now ready for the engine. .

The next Topspeed run will be in a mag so I suggest it will leak out anyway, we have lots of testing to do & are in no hurry its my last go at this before I go off to do other things .
Want to beat the existing record off Nitrous to prove a point, before having a crack at 213+.

My engine was due to start last Monday ahead of the 2 EVO engines I was not worried more taken aback. My engine actually started yesterday so thats fine. One of the EVO engines has a tight deadline for TA testing so I except that has been brought forward & will be completed before mine.

Did drawings in Auto-cad then cut from sheet of ally & filed to shape. The lettering on the control panel is done in 'word' at 1:1 & laser printed onto card. Its then laminated to get shiny pro finish. Its stiff enough to have only the switches to hold it in place so can easily be replaced if damaged is as good as you could get made.
The finish on the gauge panels was bought on e-bay & comes in sheets easily filed again looks good.

No progress to report in fact a few steps backward. Have decided to treat myself to a new set of stack gauges so dismatled the others today.
Also Mark has convinced me to buy the latest inconel exhaust manifold & a Tial Wastegate so ive now got to change the ABS Pump assy to a 4x4 one to allow the new manifold to be fitted. With this done it will be possible to fit a proper GT42 if we require & go for 850ish horses im not sure about that though.
Can also tell of progress on Kevs TA car that will be ready to run next week, lots of time, effort & cash going into this car & heres hoping he can win club class again next year, good luck Kev.
Ade was also hopeing to fire his car up today, I was working on it last week & Ade was there today to bolt bits on to finish off.
Rod
ps. should have lots to report soon as mine is now 2nd in the list & about to make progress.

still no progress on my engine, still not finalised the Spec .
Mark is at Dyno with another engine this week to see if something works so a last minute change in Turbo Spec may happen.
My engine is now top of the list so should progress soon, should be on Dyno before I leave for Hols in June.
Must admit im in no Hurry but have asked for an entry into ' Fighting torque' in August so will probably make that a Target, want to enter Vmax also before end of year.
