Be done next year Dave i reckon . Once all this messy work is out of the way and the car goes to the body shop ill be able to sort the parts out then rebuild it when it comes back.

Little update, ive done a few more repairs and the end of the welding is in sight..apart from putting the front panel and wings on. But the welding to enable the underside to be fully cleaned, prepped and stonechipped is in sight 
Only this repair was worthy of a pic really, others were nothing.

BTW i mean small repairs dave. IF i was having major fabrication done like on your mk2 then yeah it would get done by a pro Like painting...i wouldnt paint the bugger

UPDATE!
ALL yes ALL the welding underneath is done....and ground down DAVE Ive started properly cleaning it up ready for etch primer, then gravitek. Once ive done that, im droping it onto its wheels temporary so that my friend Craig can fit the back panel, wings and front panel....these are jobs for the pro deffo... Then ill put it high on stands and paint the underside black. Im hoping i get this done for christmas

Well, its back off the spit on its wheels now. Underside is protected but not painted or anything. On its wheels so my mate can get the front panel, wings and rear panel on. Then ill pop it back on the spit and get the underside finished.
Pictures when the panels go one....a few weeks i hope Oh batery tray and under heater fan to weld too
