No Dave. I do keep looking at them and id love to have a bash as i KNOW id get all the lines right as im a fussy bastard with everything i do, but my welding aint good enough for stuff like that and they are rare GEN panels so my mate craigs doing them. If they were pattern id have a go but NAH

Took the loom out also which was a bastard cos of the alarm

BTW just typing my thoughts........ I should have done the panels before i put it on the spit but i wanted to make sure the underside was ok before i put gen panels on it etc. Im happy as owt with the shell though my first S2 RST was 10 times worse than this when i stripped it and it was only 10 years old at the time, this is 25 next month

i was just thinking it was the setting etc as i do have quite a steady hand, but controlling the movement with the left hand on the torch as well as the right is so much better. I just didnt realise

Good job with fitting the front wings Lee, its not as hard as you think and easy enough to do if you take your time and make sure the gaps are correct.

Making good progress now though

As long as you kept checking the gaps and lines as you went along im sure it will be spot on

Was thinking that i might have a few bits and pieces that could be of use to you when you come to put the car back together, i bought a load of new parts for mine and never used them, new covers washers and nuts for the wiper linkages, bonnet stay clip, washers and nuts for the suspension, the big kind of c shaped clips for holding the wiring loom in place under the bonnet, brake pipe securing clips, fuel pipe clips etc etc, any use to you ????

Nice one mate hows she doing? Good car that. Some previosu owner had done a bit of crap welding on rear chassis rails and sills but other than that its an amazing car....the interior is one of the best ive seen
