Thats going to be a nice subtle mod on the door handles.

Heres a question for ya:

The donor doors have the early type hinges with splined pins, do you know how they are best removed, and more importantly if you can replace them with the later pins that have clips?

my god theres no end for this car is there. im amazed at what work u do to this, very well done mate

was havin a bloody good look round ya car at ford fair, i love the fact uve had every interior piece of plastic flocked, not just the dash. love your engine bay to, especially the chromed inlet etc. heres a pic of my engine bay so far, i wana get my inlet and throttle body done soon, not sure what else to do to mine at mo to make it different. rocker cover will be goin red or chrome soon to, or maybe crackled black

Hello mate,

I am a VW owner now and have seen these handles done many times.
Now, my point is, as you have some black parts on your car, have you not considered painting the flap part of the handle red to match the car and leaving the backing part in black??

Think it'd look pretty damn cool on your car mate, not often you see ford boys changing little details like door handles!

The car is a real credit to you mate, it really is, what a great ongoing project!

Plan was to go all red with handles ,but may gat a couple of surrounds down the scrappy and see how that looks

Ok made a start on the doors today ,first thing was to get them measured and cut out of the audi doors and also give the escort doors a clean up .

cheers mate, only thing that really bugs me is all the holes left on the passenger side. bodyshop quoted me Ł180 to just sort it out. seemed bit pricey in my eyes

Time for another update ,had some time spare today so i thought i would get the handles cut into the doors ready for welding
Stripped the handles out and removed the inner skin, and also cleaned up edges .
