Cheers guys ,ok time for another update ,today i started to get the filler into the doors.
First stage was to get the paint off the doors where i wanted to fill.
Name: audidoorhandles058.jpg
Views: 80
Size: 52.5 KB

Next stage was to get a fiberglass mix over the area that was welded to fill any pin holes etc ,excess was used to fill other sections in the door, so there was no waste.

This was then rubbed down roughly with 40 grit.

sorry mate, bt not a fan of how thats coming out. dont like the shape of the handle recess at all, doesn't fit the shape of the car. the idea is good, like i sed, i looked at montego ones for mine, but they have to be something squarer, off a a similar shaped car, flow with the press lines etc. and these just dont seem to fit the look of a mk4 escort.

looking like a proper job mate

also in regards to some people not using a guide coat on filler

if u dont you will never fill every single pin hole caused by sanding down the filler

guide coat is jus basically black spray used as a dust coat it shows up high and low spots also makes fillering 10 times easier as u can see where you need to fill with a second skim ect

back on topic they are gunna look smart as mate hurry up :P
