Nothing else done at the moment ,was going to flat it and paint it over the next few days and the weekend ,but have undertaken a job on my mums bmw that was ment to take an afternoon ,but will now take us right through to the weekend (new front panel and battery trays )so if all goes well and im done on that by sunday, i will try to paint the bonnet monday.
At least i have something else to practice spraying on.

Thought i would post a few pics up of my mums bmw ,this is why the bonnet has not turned red yet ,had to get this in on the quick and get some new battery trays welded in ,this turned into a new front panel aswell ,just got in from painting it so will be fitting up tommorow ,and (fingers crossed ) painting the bonnet in the week.
New battery tray in .

Wing repair

Ohhhhh at last i can finally say it ,the bonnet is painted 
Lots of pictures ,so prepare for a big update .
Bonnet laid out ready for wet flatting with 800 grit ,brought some hot water from home
Stuart helping out
Nearly there.
Half done in the vents .
Once the bonnet was done in 800 ,went over again in 1000 grit
Bonnet vents getting prepped ,one had a stone chip so a dob of stopper was applied .
Few blobs of stopper in the bonnet ,this was rubbed down with the 800 then 1000 grit .
Next stage was to flip the bonnet over and start to mask up underneath.
Vents prepped and mounted to be sprayed .
Bonnet re- hung,and degreased.
Next stage was to get the paint mixed .
Now it was time to spray .
Second coat on .
All done after four coats .
Vents all done .
Did underneath aswell ,will deal with the bit under the tape when dry
Really glad to get it into colour ,will leave it a few days to harden ,then it will be colour sanded with some 2000 grit and machine polished.
