Ha ha, the looms been done for months! ( still need to put the injector plugs on though

Really do love this car, the time and effort gone in2 it is amazing. just read the whole thread again for the second time, really makes me wanna do mind, its just 2 bloody cold (really must finish building garage)!!

I've just spent a fair while reading this post, and the results are just remarkable!
I'm not the biggest S2 fan, but what's been done to this car is nothing short of top notch.
Fair play, and I'll have to have a proper look round it at a show next year.

Just a small update ,while in Essen on saturday i managed to pick up a new set of bonnet pins ,for the sum of 8 euros.Thought i would try them out in the carbon recess .
Cant wait to see them fitted.

Nice supplier of paint there! Its Premiar Paints in Mawny Rd?? I use them to best about round Essex way. Anyway top job so far cant wait to see the finnished artical.

Ok time for an update ,got the underside of the bonnet into paint today ,and i am very pleased with how it came out .
Spent some time fixing up some sheeting on the walls and dividing the garage up into a booth
Hung the bonnet on the wall to paint.
All degreased off and etch primer added to the bare metal
Heater on ,nice and warm ,starting on the first coat of primer
With the primer coats complete and flashing off it was time to mix up some rosso.
Bonnet flashed off ,ready for colour
Here we go.
Four coats of paint later and the underside is done
Sooooo glad im at this stage ,really pleased with how it came out ,will leave it for a week or so before i do any more ,to let the paint harden right off .

Looks amazing
What compressor and spray gun do you have? I am looking to get my own and start spraying some parts.
How long did you leave the primer before you sprayed the rosso on it?
