I think that since you have built this superb engine
,did a great paint job
and put back in the original interior it would be a pity to leave out this little detail .
(i had problem in same aeria with one of my old mk3's )

Tonight, she breathed fire! And a bit of black smoke and made noises from the exhaust! It's alive! Some issues to sort before we can let it run for any period of time though.

also, the car hs been run up to temperature now,
it now starts on the key, no throttle required
unfortunately the rad is leaking, so....
ordering a new rad tomorrow

Stalled it twice and it doesn't like being stalled!! It likes to be left for 10 seconds before you restart it!! Once on Broughton roundabout (jct2 M55) and once at a set of lights in Blackburn.
It revs up so smooth and easily that you have a tendancy to back off the throttle slightly. Then it drops off and ctches you out.

is he gona run it in completely before mapping or do a bit n get a proper base map on it so he can give it a bit? and get a bit more out of a tank?!

I think the plan for tomorrow is get it on closed loop to try and keep it clean then when it's run in, who knows what will happen.
Really feels like it wants to go though!
