Alright peeps, well i havn't really had alot of time to myself recently with me working stupid hours recently but i i am slowly making progress. The exhaust is nearly finished but have had alot of trouble in making a good job of it .

I`ve plumbed up all the water hoses and fuel lines but i'm still waiting on the wiring loom which should be here soon thanks to "mark_24v_wiring". I`ve bought 2 new front wings for it along with a new slam panel as mine are going in the shuts, so they will be going on in due course.

Havn`t had chance to even look at the ST for a while but its going in the workshop on sunday so it can have a new sill section fitted if i can find the time...

Will post pics up tommorow....

UPDATE.

Well, i got the engine loom back on friday, so i started plugging it all back on and wired it up to the existing loom in the car, and to my suprise, it started first time.

Now i have to say that my home made exhaust system , is not as good as i`d hoped because it blows like fuck from the downpipe, lol. I need a welder

(The cable ties are only temporary by the way )

I then decided to take it for a quick spin round the block to test it, as i got up the road the bonnet lifted and hit the windscreen. My fault really, i`m still waiting for a new bonnet catch and i didn`t think it would come up at 30mph!

So, i now need a new windscreen and bonnet

What is this little thing?? Where do i plug it?

Also, if anyone has got a spare one of these, then let me know...

My new rad

And a few random ones...

Just need to sort a few bit n pieces on the engine, then i will fit the Granada rear beam and brakes.

Ok, got small update. Just been removing more stuff off the Granada so i can get rid of the shell, which is now ready to go. I shall be using the granada steering rack with sierra track rod ends along with the Granada anti roll bar. Using a granada anti roll bar means i can then use a stock granada exhaust which will bolt up properly.

Just a few pics...

Also, i'm having the electric suroof motor and see if it will fit mine...

I will continue to fit the above this week if i can get the time to do it, and i am on the hunt for a XR4x4 for parts aswell. Will keep you updated...

You look to be doing ok.

Did you fit a new clutch plate? I have just had mine fail, didn't want to put a new one in when i built it. But i should have. Now got a transit HD one in, same as the 4x4 cossie.

Thankyou. I put a new one in when i had the box off so hopefully all will be ok.

Still need lots of bits tho, but its just trying to find the time and money to keep going with it, but i`m not in a rush to finish it so will get there in the end

Hi m8, welcome to PF. The box i used is a Type 9 gearbox, with 2.8 v6 clutch and flywheel. This isn`t the strongest of boxes but some do the job fine. But, you are best off using an MT75 gearbox as this tends to be stonger.

Take a look at www.fordpower.org.uk/forum as you will find loads of information on the 24v there.

xr4x4 box front case and if your using a dohc mt75 you also need the input shaft and dropgear from the xr box. Then get all that fitted to the 2wd mt75.
Or get a Scorpio diesel box and the front case from the xr4x4 will fit straight on.
