Its running and I have ran it through the gears up on the stands, so far it all works fine.

Got to tweek the cam timing and drop it on the deck, then make my new laptop talk to the Pectel ECU and we are off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just on my tea break at the mo.

OK just back in now, car going great.

Just taking it easy as running in new bearing and newly honed bores.

Took this little video of a bit of my trip! Not much to see but sounds good.

I cant give away my secrets but, a bit more caster, about that for neg camber and a little more toe-out but thats tyre dependant.

Captain Mike

Still not got my shell back - been away 2 years now.

That and the fact that my gudgeon pin circlips and top rings were 'lost' when i resigned from my previous employer

Once i get those replaced i can build the engine

Gus,

Engine is back out and still playing with the mounts for the MTX75 which I will have completed soon. Hence the sreamer pipe is not welded until the engine is in it final resting position.

Hopefully dyno in January just depends on Ahmeds availability, just sorting some final bits for the new box and bar a few minor jobs she will be ready to go. Although I have been speaking with a custom exhaust company about a new manifold and system. So may have that done before I MOT her. New 18" s etc etc, never seems to be enough cash!!

Si,

Thanks for the advice and sorry for hijacking your thread!

Going fine,
Bit of a disapointment to miss the Thrash, was waiting for a new electric water pump. The resistance in the motor on my old one was starting to increase as the pump warmed up. That is proberly why I have cooling issues with engine most of the summer!

The clutch and flywheel is a sucsess, no issues at all with it. Just fit and forget, nothing to mod.

It all means looking good for next season, will hit the ground with my feet running. This year just tried to do too much, and never really cought up!!

Seems to be the only one you can rely on nowadays with all the funny readings and lower boost people seem to be getting on other types or RR's
