Good work shorty!

The only thing I didn't like were the brake lines running straight to the calipers through the bulkheads. I would have put bulkhead fittings in.

Otherwise, spot on!

yeah did think about that, but i meant more connections,

i've put some rubber hose on the part where they go through the front arch's, this needs to be re addresses, but otherwise i think i'll leave them as is

bit more of a update from tonight

gave the engine bay a bit of a clean

all by hand too









and here is the subframe and rack, which i'll blast with the water pressure jet tomorrow

yeah hour and half last to get engine out

and another hour or so tonight giving it a clean and removing the suspect drive shaft

forgot to tell you i went to london monday to see a s2 rs turbo, totally not as described and was seriously pissed off, 6 hours out and Ł40 petrol wasted, oh well the search is on

i actually needed the engine lift to put the gearbox on

then take it off again as the thust bearing came off

forgot to add, LOOKING for RST, since when has that plan gone ahead?

well it's been a VERY busy few days and i almost finished

the engine is now running, although lacking water, due to one pipe needed modified for the oil cooler

here is a quick vid of it starting and purring

i'm as happy as a pig in shit

yeah did it all myself,

wiring was ok, though you need to rund a switch live to one of the grey cables on the gti-6 loom this powers the ignition module relay, without this it wont eve start, as i found out,

the rest is simple match for match

i have a full front engine and rear beam bbm kit 124 delivered

and here is the car ready for it's mot tomorrow

new foam on the roll cage

and new bonnet pins, due to me moving the rad forward a bit, the bonnet catch, was sticking a bit
and for safety

think thats most things, there's probably a few things i missed, but that just about covers it

sound, that ll be one of my first jobs, my roof is pissing in,

car looks good, bet it fookin flies with that motor in, my 1.9 is rapid and its standard
