Started to fit the new camera's and bit and and bobs
ordered a new DVR, cant wait for that to come,
ordered a 16gb SDhc card, but i can only recored 1000mins of footage on that .. PMSL
ideal for the next ring trip
any here are the front and rear camera's, not sure if they will stay here,
will see next week with test footage
here is the new location of the quad processor, solid mounted with rubber under neath ,
the pics make it look crap, but 1 i dont care and 2 the rubber pads make it stick out

Looks good mate, not sure you need a rear view cam although its kind of cool seeing people chase you, maybe one on the pedals or something (although I'm not a fan of showing people my amazing foot control LOL)

Can you use a external mic ? if so mount it inside somewhere

i will have a 3rd camera(at some point) that i will have facing the feet/clocks, will swap them around

but i always want front and rear as i have taken some rear footage (bedford rs day this year) and loved it,

on the move i cam change camera positions too with a remote, so can change to front only or rear only

well, we had a great day, loads of nice fast cars, and our pugs
126miles on track too
did all morning on r888's which seem to hold on very well, few oversteer instances, but
nothing to worry about
then lunch it hammered down, and i decided to put on my competition wets,
this transfromed the car and it had LOADS of grip and i loved it, passed everything
here are my video's from the weekend (last 3 sessions is where i was flying)
session 1 on r888's
session 2 on r888's
session 3a on r888's
session 3b on r888's
session 4 on r888's
session 5 on r888's
session 6 on Wet's
session 7a on Wet's
session 7b on Wet's
session 8a on Wet's
session 8b on Wet's

Nice one spiky, i bought a base model mk1 sierra for my track car, no sunroof, no leccy windows, no sunroof, no fuck all. Even the bumpers are lighter than normal,so a lot of weight has been saved already. Hope to see what it will be like up against your tin can in the wet sometime soon.
I run kumho ecsta's off a new shape mini cooper rally car, and they are awesome in the wet. Cheap as well (free).

of course.

i did by mine second hand for Ł101 was a fooking bargain..lol

the front camera is a 550tvl Ł120 new and is water proof
the rear is a 480tvl 65-80 new splash proof
the recorder is a dv-500 Ł300 i had to buy this new
the split screen joby, well if the front camera is high, like i had it, it obstructs the view but when it's low, and this is how i will run it, it should be fine, but i may try and find a different type of box to do this, as this box is only Ł35 new anyhow

but for now if you want to run 1 front camera and a mic and a recorder, you can get it all from dogcam sport

if you need me to get links for each peice let me know

also the butey of the DVR is it has a 1 button, which turns it on and starts recording, press button again, stops recording and turns off

all my cameras, mic, and dvr, and split screen box all run off the battery

so no worries of a flat battery and i have a 16gig memory card, castle combe last week i recorded 1.9gig of footage, so you can see memory isnt an issue

also as it's records to solid state (SD card) you dont get any jumping pictures when you hit the kurbs on track

If you haven't sorted out the mic, I can send you a diagram of how to make a 'pad' which will attenuate it....

well yet again, more weight loss,
had the whole dash out for the first time, oops, some sound deadening still in there, no gone, except behind the heater as i could obviously see how to take it out, so left the bit behind there
tidy all the wires up behind the clocks
which then left me with some long wires by the fuse box
so next job is to shorten each indiviual wire, and as you can see, thats not a 5 minute job,
ah well

1 wire at a time , easy really

just think of the grams i'll save..lol

actually the shortening is so it dont look crap as there is nothing to cover all the wires under the dash, as the dash is as youy see it, so the shorter and up out the way the better

Howd you manage to get the suction mount on track? Though most tracks are trying to get rid of these.

Wires look like spaghetti, have fun shortening them.
