**UPDATE**
Even though we've had snow today I decided to take advantage of finishing work early and do a couple of hours on the car!
Ive now fitted the fuel metering head and connected up the fuel lines. Also finished connecting the bailey breather and plumbed up some of the water system.
Also fitted the speedo cable, bonnet release and cleaned up my header tank ready to fit.
Heres a few pictures after tonights work!! 8)
Starting to look like an engine bay now! 8)

**UPDATE**
Not a very big one im afraid as ive been doing little jobs on the car that dont really show that ive bloody done anything!!
Ive now got a dash in there thats been chopped to fit the cage. Also chopped out the glove box and all the dash below the steering column including where the RSi ECU would sit!!
Trying to save a bit weight!!
Decided not to cut my other dash as its not in as bad condition as I thought. Its got a few cracks yeah but its still a bit too good to cut up!!
Also fitted the dials - not sure if the mileage is genuine but it dont look like the dials have been apart. And the car had sat in a garage for over ten years before I got it so maybe??
Ive also put the bonnet back on with some raising blocks at the back!
And fitted the front number plate!!
Ive also fitted the gearlinkage now and started putting the wiper motor back in along with tidying the wiring. My battery box has also arrived, so just got to get some cable to relocate the battery now!
Also getting my aeroquip connections for my fuel lines hopefully this week so I can start plumbing the fuel system in aswell!
Plan to have the old girl running by the end of the month if everything goes right!!
Oh and a quick picture of the back!
Thanks for reading

**UPDATE**
Right ive been busy doing little bits and pieces on the car and so heres an update!
Added the master cylinder.
Clipped the brake line through the inside of the car.
Also added the bias valve.
Battery box has arrived and have been toying with locations to mount it and I think its going to be in the boot where the picture is taken.
Also bolted the seats in. Standard pair of RS16i seats for now. Will upgrade to a proper pair of buckets but these are comfortable enough for now!
Quick picture of the dash since ive tidyed up the wiring.
Quick snap of underneath since ive mounted the fuel pump.
Another picture of the front with the bonnet closed and also with the wipers added too.
Thats it for now!

Gary,
What did you think to the fit of the roll cage? I just got the same one as you and i think the fitment is shocking!!!
Did you have headaches getting it to fit reasonably well?
Cheers!
Anymore updates?

Yeah the cage wasnt the greatest fit but once I drilled and bolted it to the rear inner arches you could persuade the rest of it to fit!!
Trouble is, i want the A pillar bars to be as far forward as possible, not where they land when the rear cage is pushed fully back...
Might have to fabricate a thing or two
Overall its shite though. If you push the rear cage fully back so that the B pillar feet are up against where the floorpan rises up for the back seat, then the feet on the rear arches are tight up against one side, with a massive gap at the other i.e. not central
The bar from the top of the B pillar down to the A pillar doesnt seem to be bent right- when its in position, the foot is not flat to the floor, its at a silly angle No amout of adjusting the bolts seems to correct this.
Oh well... at least you got yours in

Cheers for cage pics mate
Ive now bolted the rear of mine in place- its was twisted like a bastard
Im getting there though!
Looking at where your B pillar feet fall, it looks like they made yours on a different jig to mine
Did you cut the inner part of the foot off the rear arch mounts? I managed to bolt mine in using the two outer holes, and then very gently bray the living shit out of the inside of the foot using a lump hammer and a piece of 3x2 to shape it around the arch
Cheers!

I drove her for the first time today!
Be it only up the drive and back but I did manage to give her a bit of a clean while she was out!!
Quick one of underneath aswell!!
Slowly getting there!
Having a problem with the brakes at the moment but should hopefully sort that over the next week.
Then its road test time!!
