am i mad or sad?? painting bolts . . . .
rs500 stat housing modified to fit a stat turned a shim down on lathe and will use rubber o ring to seal, just need aeroquip fittings
painted some more bits. will re fit the diff with the new allen bolts tomo
and painted the rocker cover . . . again lol will flat and polish the letters tomo ready for laquer tomo aswel

had a mess on the lathe today made some bungs to weld into fuel rail, 1 for fuel pressure sensor and 1 for the take off for nitrous. once welded in if not distorted at all il tap them 1/8 npt if not il re drill first. made with a little lip so it sits in perfectly. also finished painting the bits.

its my cousins lathe/workshop and to be honest and i only mess about. i know b9 cos made one for his so may be better asking him as hes already done one

thought id add a few pics 'of the sort of quality paint job that my car will have'!! and these finishes are out of the gun aswel . . . . .

a few more little bits done. its the fiddly bits that take all the time! a few pics of the engine
finished the new cam cover laquered etc all bolted down with another cometic gasket that didnt fit! and the fittings on the inlet
note the fittings on the rs500 stat housing and coil, the others should be here tomo.
bolted everything together on the box, the cover where the old clutch arm went through, got some rather tricky bits on route! . . . . .got my motivation back!
yes its a door in primer!!!! all the weldings done, not on rot but on other things
but i cant disclose this information so that ajc doesnt know!

theyre the alloy ones, cannot time up 100% tho, my engine builder said my exhaust cam is like just under half a degree out but he said its not enough to matter

been trying to find a plug for my phase sensor and having no luck so i soldered 3 wires streight onto the pins, heat shrank and potted it in silicone to protect joints, will put a normal timer plug on it when i make my loom
painted throttle body up and knife edged the butterfly, probably wont make a shit of difference but i saw one on ebay like this lol. spot the autronic iat sensor!
and another pic lol happy with the way its starting to look now.
pricks from the breakers sent me the wrong coils, theyre just out to make money! i even gave them the correct part number aswel probably not even got the right ones in!
