hi like the car super well done on second place in series heres too next year and a win good luck

 

decided to make a start on the carbon doors today. i took them to phil @ carbon delight yesterday for him to have a look at them and see whether it was worth taking them back to bare carbon, after a little sand down we got to the carbon/kevlar. the doors will be painted black with just the bottom in carbon. sort of like i stripe.

after getting through 7 different colours of paint and a skim of filler in between got to the bare carbon



then for the rest of the door.



many different colours!!









a thin layer of filler half way through??



thats about all. next week we will be doing the other door and sanding back

swapped my rl7's for a set of anthracite comp mo's.

i've always wanted to try dark wheels but never wanted to bite the bullet and pay to get them colour changed. but the comps were already this colour so thought i'd try. they are the famous PORKIES wheels from the reyland 3 door

i'm liking them

also spent the last 3 days at brands hatch in the car. saturday and sunday was race car live. i was giving charity rides for @help for heroes' i raised a few hundred quid

and monday was the performance ford day.

car ran spot on all 3 days apart from blowing my diff saturday









i will be stripping the car down now in preperation for time attack next year

I thought it looked different Ron, just couldnt put my finger on it. It also looks different with some of the stickers removed.

 

Love this car! The new comp's look a million times better than the rl7's in my opinion, plus little things like standard size plate and less stickers have made it look much better!

 

Looking good Ron, I like both rims if im honest.

Cant help thinking the rears could do with being wider?

what's that for lightweight

 

is for the wheels ,plus they are the wrong colour. Need to be black or white to even try and compete with the racelines.
Not for me mate sorry.

Very nice mate get a blue pin stripe on the wheels to break them up a little.
