Hi Ronnie hope your well,sorry i didn't make it on monday had a problem with one of the brake lines leaking.Did you have a good weekend at the track ?Love the new wheels (spot on),you have got some work on those doors a bit stupid having light doors with all that paint on them.Do you know what's happend to the diff ?

doug (miller3) come over today and gave me a hand to get the engine out

ready to go with doug doing hes usual, hands in hes pockets talking





an hour or so later





fitted up ready to be stripped down









also moved the battery and extinguisher lower down, not bolted down yet, just rested in place





also got some new foot plates.





modified the passenger seat as i was told it was a bit wobbly



got a pro alloy fuell cell to go in too

Good progress getting it all ready for the winter rebuild Ron.

Have you thought of getting a smaller battery as them yellow top optima battery aint exactly light weight or space saving lol the varley red tops can be had for under Ł50 second hand or about Ł130 new and take up a lot less space.

Also i reckon now would be a good time to fit some proper seat mount bars while you got it all stripped out, minimal welding required and easily painted up after,

turbo toaster has a big point on wider tyres Ron so we need pics of arch mods tyre sizes used how low the car is and are the arms level or pointing up or down plus any camber angles known ?

i no its lame but i no of a guy who makes super slippy cables, he sponsors my mates drag car, he might be able to do a clutch and throttle cable for the car if your interested in details? his cables take most of the friction out of the cable and are stronger and blue! means one less thing to go wrong at the track

 

Is that rcs by any chance? I use their gear cables and they are brilliant

Y not tap up phil/ima/boschman..... For some injectors and a fuel pump.
And ask stu/msd to supply a chip/map/wasted spark/AL.....

And if tcs supplies others with tyres .....
