I'm not exactly sure what you mean

Working from the front floor pans back all the rust is being removed (i.e Panels/sections welded in where necessary. Any other rust which can't/doesn't need to be replaced with new metal is treated and then primed

once the rust is ther the only real way to get rid of it is to cut it out completely or have it grit blasted then put new panels in

just it would be a shame to end up doing it again after all the effort u have put in

as u can see in my sig my mk1 escort
i restired it 2 year ago and it gets abused but all the rusty bits wer cut out completely and to this day there aint a bit of rust anywere

Hmmm

Firstly, thanks for the advice.

The plan was to replace all the worst sections i.e. arches, floor sections etc....

And then the areas that can't really be replaced like the boot floor, and spare wheel well. I've attacked with a wire brush on a grinder, then treated the rust/pitted metal with Kurust and then used an anti-rust primer.

Do you think the rust will come back through this??

(It will be stonechipped over the top of this)
